And many male Farangs are still surprised why Thais are so wary of them? You cannot blame us for assuming that Farang men are potential predators when this kind of story keeps appearing in the news. Only logical.

Look in your own back yard....................coffee1.gif

Yes, but Spok has mentioned this almost identically before...think he is just trying to stir up some feelings amongst the good and proper people.

I dont understand what the problem is here and why there are so many vehement comments ,especially when most of the comments are coming from people who have more than like likely done the same thing here in The LOS.

Why do they call it sexual assault when obviously it was consensual.Americans allow all kinds of perverts intp office, allow all kinds of perverted porn movies ans videos-,porn channel, the Land of the FREE,but then they indignantly go after a guy who succumbed to lust.BIG flippin deal.He didnt rape her and she was likely not a virgin so to me typical American slop.Theywant to ruin the guys life for a little sex, what about a little protection for men from these little sluts who although very young parade around in very"HOT" and sexy clothing, where are the parents. No way in hell I would chase this poor guy down. Here in Thailand-Cambodia-Phillipines-a 13 year old would be very experienced. So what makes Americas 13 year olds so speacial. This guy should have come here first for that kind of activitym, rather than later but the whole thing in America is nothing but Hypocrisy.

Also I ahvent been able to post my questions on certain topics.Would someone please inform me how to have my question appear at the top of the page as is seen here,THANKS AND CHEERS.

It might be a reflection of yourself Gop.....perhaps the type of people that you hang with, are drawn to, similar hobbies and the like.

I can't read this forum very often. it is shocking and depressing. I am so surprised to see stories published here when people have not yet been convicted of anything but their name and photo are published. I think there are no sensible laws in Thailand about the media being responsible. If this guy is guilty it is good that he was caught but shouldn't his crime be shown true before his information is released? This forum is just as bad because the owner puts these stories here. I think the owner of this forum does not believe in karma because doing this will give him very bad karma. Maybe he will be accused of some awful crime when really innocent but his picture will be published and his name will be be destroyed yet he didn't do anything. It is sad to see that few people here care about what is fair. People here just decide he's guilty without really knowing anything. It seems that very many people at this forum are very unhappy and like to see bad things happen to other people. Why is that?

I hope people can see that I am not trying to help this man in the story but I don't like to see the media make someone guilty before he has gone to court.

The UK Jimmy Saville inquiry has rooted out many big names involved in ''perhaps'' similar stuff. They have all been named in the press BEFORE trial.

If the case is dismissed or the accused is found 'Not Guilty' then the Press will also print that.

The Thai press does most of the work you are describing not this forum. I have seen hundreds of photos of people who have been arrested but not convicted but the Thai police have their phot taken pointing at the alleged offender.

So doesnt look like the Thai people in those instances believe in karma either.

What makes you think a 13yr old girl in Thailand, Cambodia or Philippines would be "experienced" ??

I think you better restrict your comments to anonymous posts, cause if you started talking like that in any bar I know you would be making headlines of your own...

Maybe because a non-governmental survey revealed the AVERAGE age Thai's lose their virginity is 13, well below the world average of 17.

Ahhhhhh.........pure ambrosia to the "Hang 'em high" and "Cut his nuts off" brigade.

Hoping that you do not not condone his actions and you also believe that punishment should fit the crime ..hang em high and/or cut his nuts off are very appropriate punishment IMO

But luckily enough the law of "the hang em high and rusty knifes brigade" it`s not practised in any civilized country thumbsup.gif

just one thing .. chemical castration ... and after some years in a nice cell block with rapists and murders ....

Don't deport, jail his ass here. Diet of fish heads and sodomy for 50 years!

Really? Castration, nuts cut off, 50 years of sodomy? For consensual sexual activity with a 13 year old girl? A bit over the top. She is not 7. big difference.

What is wrong with our society? At 13 many girls look like women, it's quite late in pubescence, especially for girls. Curved hips, breasts, pubic hair, possibly been menstruating for a year or longer. This is what nature intended us men of all ages to be attracted to. The attraction is actually completely normal. Acting on it, well that is another story. But in many enlightened countries he would not have even committed a crime. There is a very good chance that no harm, mental or physical, came to this girl (at least not until the police discovered what they were doing anyway).

The title should read "Man arrested for unlawful sexual acts with teen." There was no "attack" or "rape", he is not a pedophile because of it (actually impressed that word has not been used in a thread for once) and she is not a child. She is an adolescent and he may or may not be a hebephile.

What about the rights of the "child"? She is not allowed to express love or affection with whom she wants? That's not fair to her. Personally I think these cases should be taken case by case. If there can be "damage" then the punishment should fit the crime. Pretty much every one of my ex-girlfriends have told me that they had early sexual encounters with adults and didn't think much of it.

Not saying what he did was right, I know many of you are fathers out there with daughters her age, but lets reserve our hatred for those who actually deserve it, those who without a doubt cause harm.

Well he has been charged but I don't believe convicted yet.

So keep your rope and knife handy Mr Lynch.

Of course there are sexually depraved men everywhere, but can anyone enlighten me as to why most appear to be in the west, judging by the news. Here is another example: http://news.sky.com/story/1163814/child-sex-sting-sees-110-brits-caught-online

Because you are looking at Western news sources...

And this is why Thai people have every reason to be vigilant about Farang men. It is an undeniable fact. It is going to be an insurmountable task for Farangs to change the way Thais view them.

I am a Western man and I know that none of my Thai friends or associates believe this of me. Naturally you are free to believe what you want and I am free to just carry on with my life not giving a sh1t about your opinions. A quick look on your profile shows that you have come here JUST to assault Farang. Sounds to me like the actions of a sad, lonely, man....bit like Mr Wayne here.

“He used text messages and phone calls to start a relationship with the girl. That relationship led to Forrest engaging in multiple sexual encounters with the victim at a hotel located in the 9500 block of the Katy Freeway,” the statement read.

Why did you do that Forest? Oh, you didn't know that she's so young. Time to stay at a Thai prison with many others who'll abuse you Forest. Then you might understand what you did., Forest.

And Forest, thanks for giving all the other foreigners here a bad name. I'm glad that you can't just run away Forest......-wai2.gif

Do you think being a Paedophile is OK??

Or are you just practising at being a troll

If guiltly he should be sentenced to be shagged by a male elephant

No time for Paedophiles myself and to many of them end up in Asia where they think they can get away with it

Not to think about the consequences of one's actions in a case like this is incomprehensible.

Does the supposed "thrill" of fooling around with minors outweigh the risk? Is there no conscience involved?

Really , really stupid of him.

No chance that a 13 yr.old might look, pretend, or act a little older, actually be the aggressor and have a different version of truth than him is there? Welcome to TV Kangaroo court.............oh of course ......to cap it off, the story is: that the suspect "fled" to Thailand because the FBI says is that way and we always get our man. That makes him so much more guilty, plus coming from the Thai police and a bunch of rocket men.

What kind of sick world we have !!!!! Let him join the Thai prison !!!!!

AH HA..!! The lynching party is already forming and no one knows the facts.

Truly, when I was younger, I would join in, but personal experience gives me reason to question everything.

When I was 20 and out wandering around near Sattaheep, I wandered into a 'Short Time' bar where no girl was over the age of 17...!!!

Years later, when I was around 40, in California, while showering, suddenly the curtain was pulled back and my 12 year old neighbor asked if I needed any help...!!!

Some months later, I was working in the yard, when her 14 year old sister came to me crying about being dumped by her 19 year old boy friend - when she put her head on my shoulder, her hand went to my cotch...!!!

For a while afterwards, I securely locked my doors and did not go out if I saw either of them.

Those experiences, and others, made me realize that there are two sides to every story

Me wonder if WM understands big words like irony.

Hint...not done at the laundry.
