Red-shirts to stage mass rally in Bangkok this Saturday

Recommended Posts

So the Red-Shirt leaders are still not upset, about the attempts by PTP to give a full-amnesty, to people who they claim ordered the murders of their comrades-in-arms three years ago ? blink.png

What very short memories, and conveniently forgetful ones too, these delightful people appear to have. whistling.gif

Why do the Red-masses still trust & follow them ? wink.png

Unfortunately there is STILL the mass that would like to receive their vote buying money allowances for free, no matter how much they are going to get screwed over...

Where do they find the time to converge and waste their time on all those frivolous

meetings? isn't rice harvest time now? and yes, I know that every red shirt at least

get 2,000 to come to Bkk, ( I got it on good authority) but still....

Nice!

Where do all the sudden democracy- lovers find the time?

Aren't these normal working days?

Seriously, you don't need to be a red- supporter, to find comments like these despicable!

What's despicable about the comment? Is he lying about the $2,000 baht? Is it that he finds the demonstrations and rallies frivolous? Is he lying about it being rice harvest time? Maybe the implication that rice farmers are redshirts?

ps. I find the whole thing a little bit like keystone cops now - it does get a bit comical at times

Because its better than the centuries of being forgotten about and repressed.

I expect many 'red shirts' are not personally keen on TS, but the thought of voting for the oldest party in Thailand who has over the years completely disregarded them is so sickening that they continue to support the PTP.

I hate the conflict now, and find it difficult to see a proper resolution, but its lovely to see these old families in Thailand who have barely lifted a finger in their lives, other than to call the hired help, get a right royal shafting:) Sadly i know they have already siphoned off 100's of million of dollars over the years out of the country and really whatever is happening here is just a minor inconvenience that they can sit out abroad.

That is exactly right, smutcakes. That is what the Bangkok elite refuse to understand. The Dems have shafted the Isaan time and again. Refused to acknowledge their problems or improve their lot. Just read up on the protest before the '97 crash.

Of course Isaan will support PTP/Red shirts. They know the Shin clan and their cronies are just as corrupt if not worse, but they are pragmatic.

At least they did something for them.

The (yellow?) protests now are genuine, but it will not help at all. They are being let by another corrupt bastard with his own crony network.

Employing the same tactics like the red shirts in 2010.

It is the summit of irony that Jatuporn and Natthawut denounce the occupations. They did the same, except stepped it up a notch. Raiding a hospital and encouraged destruction and rioting. "Burn it all down! Burn Bangkok!" Remember?

There is no solution. This is just another fight between two feudal clans. Establishment against Shin Clan. And it will get violent, I am afraid.

As long as the Army stays out of it...

There's a big difference actually. One side has a significantly higher body count too.

So far their call for rallies at Rajamangala have gone un-headed

living within earshot of the stadium there is a constant drone of hat appears like vezuvelas going off, reminds me of South Africa world cup. An occaisional red and white chopped circle the stadium ... but that is it. IMO I would be surprised if there is not that 10K inside. Hopefully their rallying cry will be just as quiet this weekend.

How is this different from what PTP has done to the south?

"The United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship will stage a mass rally on Saturday to pass a judgement on anti-government protest leader Suthep Thuagsuban"

What gives these thugs the right to think they can pass judgement on anyone...?! It is the duty of the courts to pass judgement, just as they did against their beloved fugitive criminal.

Furthermore, if the judicial system were to function properly here, then the super-thug Jatuporn wouldn't be sitting in judgement on anyone, he would either be incarcerated or on the run like his good friend...!!

What is despicable is the undertone.

"Shouldn't the rice farmers stay home? Don't they have work?"

What about all the office workers and student and everybody else, out on the streets of Bangkok?

No work there? Just going on vacation with a whistle and a flag?

Because they are rice- farmers, they have no right to voice their opinion at a demonstrations...no matter how "stupid" it is?

Why am I doing this?

You know exactly, why it is despicable: here- upright democracy lovers, who sacrifice their free time to exercise their right to voice an oppinion against a corrupt regime! over there: stupid Isan- folk, paid and lazy and brainwashed!

Go figure!
