Red-shirts to stage mass rally in Bangkok this Saturday

Recommended Posts

So the Dems have shafted the poor and ignored them for decades - that's pretty true I think.

The problem is that the reds are shafting the poor as well - just more quickly and a little more deception and lying to them.

As others have said - politicians have zero regard for anything except their own personal gain and probably do not have the intellect to understand that their gain is at the expense of the progress of the nation, though probably have just enough intellect to understand it is at the expense of the poor.

I wish a third party would come along with a policy for zero- tolerance on corruption, a massive education and re-education program with much more emphasis on a English and Chinese second languages, a policy on professionalism in the professions with a defamation protected complaints procedure and willingness to remove the license of those guilty of unprofessionalism, a complete overhaul of the legal system to make it accessible and just and with teeth to stop people absconding, a policy on opening up the market free of controls on foreign businesses willing to invest and employ trained Thais, abolition of the subsidies and an overhaul of the tax system with the recruitment of staff to pursue tax and staff to oversee any corruption. A policy on kicking out any civil servant who is found guilty of corruption without right to pension. An elite crack force and special fast track court to prosecute corrupt police and government officials at every level.

I should write a manifesto

Where do you get this crap the Dems have shafted them for decades.

the PTP and it's ancestors are the ones who have been in power for decades. The Dems had very little chance in the last few decades. The last chance they had there hands were tied with to little of support one party disagree with them and it would have been election time again. Plus they had to put down an armed coup attempt mounted by the opposition through the use of their party leader living in a self imposed exile in Dubai.

Please try to be reasonable when you post that nonsense and don't try to give me that rich hi so's crap name them.

These post are so funny from the ones who support the yellows and the ones that support the reds! There is really no difference between either party its all about money and greed, they could have picked any politician from either party and convicted him for what Thaskin has done or even worse, he was singled out over money and greed and pissing off the wrong people. This process will continue on until the puppets from both sides say enough is enough when it comes to corruption and greed and the likelyhood of that ever happening is far away since most Thais think corruption is just a way of life and accepted.

I love it when we get the newbie's who just step off the plane look around the airport and all of a sudden know every thing.

Let me give you a little bit of a clue. Thai's know that 200 baht to the officer will save them from getting a ticket for not wearing their helmet.

They do not know that 30% of 350 billion baht for flood control is going into the politicians pocket.

The rest is being given to politicians cronies who are charging way to high a price and doing very little with it.

But they do know they can save 200 baht on a helmet fine. So based on that deep and insightful piece of information they say corruption is OK. Real deep thinkers these newbies are.

Sorry nice try not a newbie, been here over 7 years, yes get pulled over for drunk driving pay a samll fine and go on your way, blah blah blah! The point is they are all corrupt, starting at the top all the way to the bottom, and trying to defend one side over the other is pure ignorence and funny, but it makes for good intetainment!

Suggestions on what LOS really means. Surely, it cannot be Land of Smiles!!!!!!!!!

Politically-speaking, Land Of Slimes.

One of the guys is apparently walking to Pattaya according to his banner clap2.gif.pagespeed.ce.z5euFoXm0J.gif

At the same time I am watching the Euro conversion rate because it is getting better and better.

Good for you because when you exchange your Euro, it becomes bigger. Bad for us because when we send Baht to our family, the value becomes less.

Pro-govt Red Shirts declare major rally Saturday

By English News

BANGKOK, Nov 28 – The pro-government United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) plans a massive rally at Rajamangala Stadium on Saturday, its leaders announced.

UDD chairwoman Thida Thavornseth and leading member Jatuporn Prompan last night said the political situation has become critical and they would hold a big rally on Saturday to retaliate key anti-government leader Suthep Thaugsuban.

Mrs Thida called on Mr Suthep to stop intimidating the media and occupying government property – a serious offence that led to chaos among civil servants and the public.

Mr Jatuporn claimed that Rajamangala Stadium will be fully packed on Nov 30 when people will jointly protest against Mr Suthep.

The rally will continue until the former Democrat MP calls it quits, he vowed. (MCOT online news)

My question maybe off topic but . . . Where do these people go? You know what I mean since there are no public toilets.

Judging from the smell of stale urine in every nook and cranny in Bangkok ... anywhere they like.

So the Red-Shirt leaders are still not upset, about the attempts by PTP to give a full-amnesty, to people who they claim ordered the murders of their comrades-in-arms three years ago ? blink.png

What very short memories, and conveniently forgetful ones too, these delightful people appear to have. whistling.gif

Why do the Red-masses still trust & follow them ? wink.png

Because they're given a few hundred baht to put on a red t-shirt, ride a bus to Bangkok, and stand in a crowd. Simple, and signifying absolutely except that somebody somewhere, who by now must realize this is common knowledge, has lots of 100B notes to hand out...

RED or YELLOW it does not matter they all shoot themselves in the foot by holding demonstrations against the Government when the HIGH SEASON is just begining any holiday maker coming to Bangkok should head straight for the borders of Thailands neigbours where they will get a very warm welcome. Thailand and its people have only got themselves to blame for this farce demoracy is about voting in Government that the people have chosen it is not about thugs taking over Government buildings because they feel like a change this behaviour is common in Thailand and will continue year in year out which is a shame but to Thai's this is the norm. I fear that in the coming days and weeks once again the news will be of unrest and killings.
