^ Not at all.

It's the pick up place for factory workers.

The factory is many more km (miles) away, benzene is expensive, the bus is free.

So what to do with the bike while 12+h on work?

Park it where is 24h business, ccv, light...

Good chances that your moto is still there when you return tired!

That's a different set up, Ron ^^^ ???

Very common north of Uttaradit this time of the year.They are used to carry baskets of I think they are Longon,one on each side and quite often one behind the rider.Where they are picked from is very steep and near on impossible for a pick up to enter and one day we visited a waterfall in the area and the motorbikes were going up and down the whole time we were there. The motor bikes sounded like they selected a lower gear and gunned it up so as to make the top and some were struggling.

One thing I didn't unerstand was why they weren't met by a pickup or truck at the bottom instead of taking them the 15km to the market themselves

The baskets are one like the one shown in the middle here.
