PRD establishes Hua Hin Radio in honor of HM the King

BANGKOK, 29 November 2013 (NNT) - The Public Relations Department (PRD) will very soon open a radio station in Hua Hin to be broadcasting in Thai and English, in honor of His Majesty the King on the occasion of his 86th birthday this year.


PRD Director-General Apinant Chantharangsi said the PRD Hua Hin Radio Station is located on an area of 4 Rai on the Hin Lek Fai mountain in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. The land was donated by the Royal Forest Department.

The radio station in Hua Hin is established to honor HM the King who has a great interest and has a high level of expertise in mass communication, Mr Apinant said. Apart from general programs of the PRD, this bilingual radio station will broadcast news and special features on royal duties of HM the King and the Royal Family as well as achievements of royal projects.

The Hua Hin Radio Station is scheduled to be officially opened at the end of this year.
