Sirius1935
The Catcher in the Rye is a 1951 novel by J. D. Salinger.[3] Originally published for adults, it has since become popular with adolescent readers for its themes of teenage angst and alienation.[4][5] It has been translated into almost all of the world's major languages.[6]Around 250,000 copies are sold each year with total sales of more than 65 million books.[7] The novel's protagonist, Holden Caulfield, has become an icon for teenage rebellion.[8] There you have it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Catcher_in_the_Rye

sceadugenga
We had a lot of what seemed like teenage angst and alienation here last year though so he may have a point. I wonder who could be described as "the Catcher" in that tantrum-fest?
Radar501
My extensive research skills (google search) for the term 'The Rai' led me to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rai_people .........The Rai are the Khambu (people living in Mud Hut).........in Nepal Nothing there about Chiang Rai I'm afraid. I hope this does not muddy the waters. Edited January 1, 2014 by Radar501
