PREM-R
Hi there, is there any air-con bus from Chiangmai to Nong Khai, which terminal and how long it takes to reach there. Thanks There are a couple of overnight aircon bus services from Udon Thani to Chiang Mai so I presume they also do the route the opposite way. Once in Udon it is only 50 km to Nong Khai and you can go by bus or train. If you can travel on either friday or sunday why not try Nok air from Chiang Mai to Udon Thani and then on to Nong Khai. Dr. G
There is a regular Air Con service from arcade bus station to Udon and a frequent service from Udon to Nong Khai. It’s a very long journey 14+hrs. Fly CM to Udon and then bus to NK. I do this return trip several times per year. g

chanchao
> It’s a very long journey 14+hrs. It's long, but in the direct VIP bus not THAT long I think? From memory I think it took about the same as going to Bangkok. (It's a shorter distance but much slower roads most of the time).

Pick up a bottle or two of good malt at the NK border g
