With the country's TELECOMS law pending near implementation and the two incumbent operators licenses awarded, Myanmar is readying for its telecommunications network to take a quantum leap. Technologies vendors, tower companies, mobile devices, handset manufacturers, and many along the infrastructure development chain are gearing up to comply with expanding opportunities in Asia's last frontier.

With details of the regulations on hand the next stage is the rollout and implementation. From importation of equipment to land lease, construction of telecom towers and infrastructure sharing, all operators, equipment and service providers are leaning in on the rule of the land, as many are pioneers spear heading the infrastructure growth of Myanmar Telecoms.

CMT's 2nd Myanmar TELECOMS Infrastructure Summitcomes at an opportune time providing attendees with effective business approaches, practical sessions to pertinent issues to ensure a smooth sailing journey in the rollout and implementation stage.

"Myanmar will increase the number of mobile phone users to 50 percent of the population in the 2013-14 fiscal year from the current rate of 10 percent this year, according to Myanmar Post and Telecommunications (MPT)." ~ 5 December 2013, Eleven Media

The summit will be hosted by CMT, and the major sponsor is Oooredoo (who were awarded one of the 2 major new telecoms licences last year)

It will be held at the Inya Lake Hotel, Yangon, from 17-18 February 2014.
