Testosterone - legal and available in Thailand?

Dr. Jeffry Life ? If so, the cost of the hormones at a clinic like his are far out of reach for the vast majority of people. We are talking 6-7 thousand dollars a year. Also, genetics plays a huge role in looking like that at 74. Not everyone can do it.----inbangkok

Yes inbankok & I am not in anyway suggesting that anyone (I certainly don't) join up or pay the over the top prices that they charge---- but the info is good, the E-mag is free (although they are pushing their product in it) ----anything they have can be purchased somewhere else cheaper.

Sure genetics play a role---"Not everyone can do it." -----no not everyone has the time comitment etc to do it----however I think that every one can improve on what they have at the moment----but if you want to have a look at what he looked like when he was 10 years younger........

http://www.motleyhealth.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Jeffry-Life.jpg

Once again as inbangkok has stated....his products are way over priced---dont buy from them----however its good to see what is being taken, then source it.

Its not just his clinic. From my understanding, $500 a month for HGH is pretty standard in the USA and it is not possible to get it covered by insurance unless you have an actual deficiency.

I agree, everyone can look better, but genetics play a huge role. I could go on the exact same diet, training, sleep, and drug regimen a professional body builder uses, but I will never end up looking like they do. Its not just about commitment. Obviously it takes a lot of time and effort, but different people have different genetic maximums they can achieve (even with drugs).

Yes that is real important to realize.. we are all different and our genes will determine for a large part how we look (all other things training, food and drugs the same). That is why we should not always believe those weight programs from people. That they look good does not mean that the program alone caused it, often crap programs are made just to make some money and place a good looking guy and everyone assumes the program is the reason.

This was OT of course as we were discussing testosterone.

I am glad I am in Thailand and can just buy it very inexpensive over the counter and inject myself. Also, like others have said the Gel is available here ( I have seen it in packets and also the squirt bottle), but runs about $100 for a month supplies last I checked. Still better if you are out of pocket in the USA.

I also saw a gel in squirt plastic bottle sold in a Bangkok pharmacy but it was not legit. I think the brand was meditech or something. Bottle was blue color and the pumping mechanism supposed to deliver the gel was totally wrong. There are 2 legit companies using this type of administration, both not sold in Thailand. ProStrakan Ltd. from UK and Cellegy Pharmaceuticals in the US . In Europe we get the UK gel called Tostrex and the gel is contained in a canister not a plastic bottle. The canister is made of metal and it is particularly suitable for pharmaceutical purposes, the plastic doesn't.The pumping system of the canister is very important...each time the piston is depressed (when the pump mechanism is pushed down) 10 mg. of testosterone are realesed so you can adjust your perfect dosage. You cannot do this with that plastic bottle because the gel is discarded continually so you can't understand how much testo you're getting. That's the reason why original brands are very expensive (about 57 euro for 1 canister containing 60 grams of gel). The one in packets is Androgel or Testogel, not sure about that, but you can find it in Hospytal, price is high and brands are original (Shering or Solvay Pharma).

I started with gel... the drug companies pass it out free to endos in the states. My endo said "Take this, I have plenty more if you like it". Some subsidize the part of the bill we copay with coupons right on the samples. It's big money.

With gel you have to be very controlled and not let kids or women contact any.

May give it a second try if the joints pain and cholesterol would improve with no AI. Better libido with gel.

I think I'm gonna start taking some anastrazole 'cause my estrogen levels are raising. I've found it in the nana pharmacy from an underground brand called Meditech , do you ever used it ? The cost is 2000 baht x 30 capsules, problem is that each capsule is 1,00 mg. and it cannot be split . 1,00 mg. is definitely too much, I was thinking about 0.25 mg. every 3 days or 0.5 EOD . Do you know any other brands producing anastrozole in tablets form instead of capsule ?

Cheers.

Hey all. I'm looking for Anastrazole as well. I was on dr. prescribed TRT in the states and now have elevated E levels. I live in BKK now and have continued my TRT on my own. It seems getting a doc here to actually look at the benefits rather than tout the risks is rather difficult.

I have been to a pharmacy in nana (possibly the same one from above) right off suk where I got my test-e. He said he carries the the generic version and it was about 2,000thb. He also he was out until later this week. But If it's 1mg that's too much for me as well. I'm only needing .25 ED or .5 EOD.

I've found the brand name Arimidex at other places with prices being quoted upwards of 8,000THB. Laughable I know. I've also seen online that Letrozole is just as effective and is sold under the brand name Femara.

Does anyone know where I can find a generic version of either of these in BK? Obviously, I'd prefer OTC.

Well, I found a "generic" according to the pharmacist but after looking online and having it double checked by another pharmacist it is certainly not a legitimate generic. It's by MunsterLabs has anyone heard of this brand? Is it safe and actually effective?

@ bbabythai - You need a Doc who is fully aware of the endocrinology Kabuki dance and all the peripheral issues as well. It really is a specialty IMHO. My endo was outstanding at resolving serious issues, but TRT was not on his radar. Learning about TRT was at first an effort to avoid using testosterone, for me. It has been a long journey - learning about it before starting. Here is a video that explains it well as a start; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTPcnEVwhqQ#t=15

The Doc on this video is sure long-winded.

Sounds like an infomercial.

You guys more know then I do all the tests you mention I get. But, in the USA.

Another one my Doc. told me to get is the PSA test. I guess your PSA can rise with T therapy.

PSA can increase, but Testosterone does not cause cancer. However, if you do get cancer, it can cause it to grow - so to speak.

The first stuff I used was prescribed by the same doctor guiding Rocky and Conan the Barbarian. It was Anadrol 50. 2 pills a day. It works.
I prefer injections, but this has logistic drawbacks when in The Kingdom.
All of this stuff is a variation of the same theme.

Hi guys,

I am desperate for some TRT treatment in Thailand, and should be travelling next month. I am thinking of buying pharma grade Test Enanthate for a cycle and also Andriol for maintenance. Do you know where I can find these two drugs legit in Thailand (preference in Bangkok or Phuket)? I heard even at the pharmacy they sell fake stuff.

What drawbacks?  Buy the syringes, load it, and jab it in your buttock.

If you want to be ¨legit" then go to a T clinic or Doctor.

Otherwise, many places sell it just have to shop around.

PS:  Look for some cranked up tatted dudes and they will mostly direct you.  Lots of them wondering around.

Any particular recommendations for a T clinic or Doctor?

I heard Fascino and Boots are trusted pharmacies, no risk of buying fake stuff there.

These threads are frustrating because no one seems to mention the NAME of the clinic they go to or how they get access to a hormone like Arimidex or HCG.

I'm in BKK and other than some overpriced piss-taker like Maximum Clinic (11,000 baht/month), there don't seem to be any establishments where TRT can be managed comprehensively with regular testing and injections.

Seems very hit and miss.

Can anyone advise?

Ron,

i am in BKK too and wasted some time with Bumrungrad but they were useful for testing. I would advise you to do what I did and go see Dr Olivier in Pattaya. He is mentioned on another thread here on thai visa forum.

https://www.dr-olivier-clinic.com/

after 15 minutes with him and his nurse you will know how to self inject and he will supply you with testoviron to get going.

The only disagreement with him is that he recommends injecting 1ml (250mg) every 3 weeks which puts makes your levels rise and fall too much. I am much, much better with weekly injections of .5ml (125mg) also for some reason his nurse gave me 1.5 inch injection needles for thigh when 1 inch is correct. I think he is the best doctor for falangs. Thais do not do much/any TRT and Thai doctors know little about it and are excessively fearful.

also, 4 months in (also stopped all alcohol and changed diet) i feel like 35 years old again in many ways (am 56) lost 6kg all body fat, spare tire gone, started working out again, morning wood again etc. :)

You can do it yourself but just to be safe, I would recommend go to a Doctor or clinic at least for the first consult.

I was doing the 250 mg every 2 weeks injection myself in my butt and continued for over a year.

Yes, horny all the time, flat stomach, more energy all the positives.  My T went from 350 to 950.

But, went in for a blood test in my home country and my Hemoglobin was sky high.  My Doctor told me if I did not stop TRT I would have a stroke or a heart attack.

My friend was on it for 3 years and had a heart attack.

So, there are some really good things about it but there can also be side effects.

Just beware of this it does not effect everyone the same and get your blood work done.

PS:  I did hear some good things about Dr. Olivier from someone at the gym I go to.

Sorry but most of the posts on this thread are FALSE.  Injectable testosterone is not only legal to purchase within Thailand but is readily available from better pharmacies (not chains).  Syringes and needles are also legal to purchase and need no Rx.  In Thailand, the most readily available, and highest quality brand of Testosterone is Bayer (sold in glass ampules), a box of 20 100ml ampules goes for about 1000 baht.

Hint for finding a good pharmacy:  Don't bother with the chains like Boots or Fascino.  Google "best pharmacy" for whatever town you are in, and you'll find google reviews or YouTube reviews written by farangs...be a little diligent and you'll figure it out.

When you find a pharmacy that stocks it, don't just go and buy it unless you are experienced with Testosterone use and tracking blood panels.  Instead, ask the pharmacist to recommend a good local MD to consult first.  They'll know who you should contact.  Stay away from "hormone clinics" unless you want to be ripped off.  Just find a good GP who will run appropriate blood tests, and then oversee them periodically (Will cost you about 1500 baht, which is a bargain compared with hormone clinics or western MD's.

I use Test for TRT which was prescribed for me back in my home country, but no prescription is needed to buy it here in Thailand.  I have been using it for several years so I am experienced in interpreting blood tests which I have run every 6 months (cost here in Chiang Mai for the blood tests are only about 1000 baht.  What's more, I have a good physician here in town who also reviews the results, and is just a great GP (which all expats should have!)

While it is readily available, that doesn't mean you should just buy it and start using it without first consulting a physician AND having periodic blood tests.  Test is very safe to use provided you are knowledgeable and you monitor certain things like testosterone, hematocrit, and estradiol levels in the blood, otherwise you can get yourself in some fairly serious trouble.  In other words...DON'T Be STUPID!  Consult with a good physician before doing this!

Also, be aware that, even though it is legal within Thailand, it obviously would be illegal to take it out of the Kingdom if you are returning  home to a county where a script is required.

Oh yeah, one other thing.  Regarding pills and patches....Total BS!!!  Pills that claim to raise test levels are ineffective and simply a SCAM!  Patches do not provide enough test in the blood stream, and can also be problematic for other people who you may have close contact with (cross contamination by physical contact, especially for women and children).  If you need to raise your Test levels, injection is the only effective way, and once you know how to self-inject, nothing scary or dangerous about it at all...again, consult with a qualified physician first!

Also one final word.  Don't believe all the fantastical claims about Testosterone boosting your libido, helping you shed body fat, making you young again, or making you a superman.  Give me a break!!! LOL.  There's a lot of hype out there, most of which is simply designed to sell you some bogus pill.  The simple fact is, Testosterone is only effective at restoring abnormally low test levels.  If you don't even know what your value is, you have no business using injectable Test.  If you are using it for "non-therapeutic" purposes (i.e.: bodybuilding), you REALLY better know what you are doing!  Once again, CONSULT A PHYSICIAN FIRST!!!

Thanks for this info.

I am being treated at a hormone clinic in Bangkok and it is killing my bank account.  At this rate I'll go bankrupt in a matter of months.

I desperately need a cheaper alternative but normal hospitals refuse me because I'm not over 40 and my natural levels before I started were in the normal range.  I have been an athlete my whole life and never touched steroids.  I have all the physical traits of being masculine or high in testosterone: lots of thick bodyhair, muscular even when not working out, high metabolism, strong voice, etc.  I get it from my dad. who at age 70 probably falls in the "normal range"  I know a 52 year old who tested very high at 800 ng/dl.  He did TRT and felt great on it.

I am having a hard time finding testosterone in Bangkok. However, one doctor who refused to treat me did tell me SouthEast pharmacy near terminal 21 in Asok sold testosterone OTC in large quantities.  I then google searched for it, and found a few posts on this forum from 2016 and 2017 talking about buying OTC testosterone from SouthEast Pharmacy.

I went there and the pharmacist said they don't have it and don't know anything about it.

Then right across the street was a tiny pharmacy with a sign "WE SELL MEDICINE WITHOUT PRESCRIPTION"

I went inside and asked.  The lady said yes they have testosterone and yes I can carry a large supply on an airplane without worry (I lived in Korea at the time).

Now here's the thing:  I never heard of this pharmacy and it was not air conditioned.  This is Bangkok we are talking about ant testosterone should be kept in room temperature.  So I was skeptical.

What if I go to Dr. Oliver in Pattaya and ask him if I can continue my TRT protocol under him?  Would he let me do that or do I have to follow his protocol?  I inject myself twice a week in the belly fat )subq injections.  He sounds more old fashioned in that he does high dose injections once every three weeks.  Would it be possible for me to get him to supply me with say... a 3 month supply of testosterone and HCG and then just do my own protocol?  Also I use testosterone ethanate and it sounds like he uses something called teviron?  I don't know, does it make a difference what type of testosterone one uses?  Are these different types of testosterone the same drug just different brand names or are the main ingredients different?

EDIT: the reason I started TRT was that in a short period my energy level and quality of life tanked due to external factors (a bad break up, a nightmare job, family problems) that caused me to become antisocial, physically inactive, eat like crap, drink too much, smoke too much, take painkilling medicine (doctor prescribed opioids).  The nature of my career requires a ton of energy, wearing a happy face, being super confident, and having the stamina to deal with difficult customers/students everyday...8 hours a day straight with no breaks....then an additional 3 hours of preparation work at home.  Total working hours 11 hours a day.  It's just too much..I could handle it in my 20s and early 30s...but physically I just can't keep up these days.  With TRT I hope to be able to have the energy to work even harder and thus make a better living.

Oh I meant to say I am currently in Chiang Mai but I was in Bangkok last year.  I want to go back to Bangkok as there seems to be more opportunities there work wise and HRT wise as well.  The doctors here in Chiang Mai don't seem familiar with testosterone therapy and are too conservative and thus I had to resort to this anti aging clinic as it is my only option that I know of here, but it's pricey and was hoping Bangkok or Pattaya have better alternatives.

IMHO, TRT is absolutely not a solution for all those issues - get them sorted out first before you embark on a course of TRT.

I think the two new posters seem too informed, & they also complement each others content.

Looks like subtle advertising.

And of course you are absolutely correct Simon. Far too many people, it seems, use Testosterone as a supposed answer to personal issues, rather than the physical ie fatigue & the other associated issues.

Easier said than done anyway.

I don't know if this is referring to me, but if it is...

Of course I should be extremely informed.  I'd be a fool to be on it without being well educated on the topic.

The other person's posts, I have no idea about.  I can see how someone singing the praises of a certain clinic here might look like subtle advertising, but my comments were not anything like that.

Just to comment on this point.  I don't think TRT will provide you with the energy boost that you are seeking.

in my case, I can't say that I noticed any energy boost whatsoever.  But I was already fit, healthy, non-smoker, zero stress, contented etc.

I started on TRT solely to help me increase my lack of upper body mass as I trained in the gym.  Again I stress not to look like Mr Universe, but simply to attain the typical upper body muscle mass of someone of my age who does not have low T.  The reduction in ED was a bonus...

Maximum Clinic provided me with a prescription for ethanate injections twice-weekly, and that seems to work well for me.  I do not have to attend their expensive, ongoing program - I have a T/PSA/estradol test every 3 months and a full blood works every year when I have an extensive health check in Bangkok (exercise stress test, the works etc!).  Naturally, if my PSA/T/estradol values went askew, I'd go straight back to the clinic for advice.

As for the small pharmacy near Nana Plaza where I buy my Testosterone, the pharmacist initially told me a little bluntly that they didn't have T.  When I produced my prescription, his attitude completely changed and he sold me the German T ampoules with a smile!  So perhaps he's a bit tired of body-hulks demanding T, HGH etc....
