rubl
Being at one of the local banks at the moment I did a quick poll following all scientific rules which normally apply to polls in Thailand and all (two) indicated a maybe good to good when asked about the coup. Still, I have my doubts although I can understand why the general was fed up.
MaxLee
Why such thing happened? It is the outcome of Thai political parties' activities which have "invited!!!" Thai army to power. To restore peace, there was no alternative. Now I expect that Thai army will prove it's patriotism. love1012
Will they let Suthep out for his victory party or will they keep him in custody in the army camp? \Is there a ticket to Dubai waiting for fatboy or will his master stab him in the back like the Emperor and Darth vadr? Jip99
Army and their masters losing face big time What an odd comment. The only people losing face are the inept government and the squabbling 'children' who could not compromise when offered the opportunity.

I disagree having observed both sides and how they deal with Democracy. Both of which have no idea. I vote military rule. ~I respect that view but I want to see a day when my country CAN have a fair democratic election without buying, interference, threats and a dictatorship. Thaksin is a THOROUGHLY unpleasant person who will sink to any level to gain power and control. Murders, theft, arson are on his list of ok to do if it benefits ME - take him OUT of the equation and thailand CAN vote for people who genuinely WANT to run the country for the benefit of the majority!!
Alwyn
Seems the Military called a fake meeting of heads of both Reds & Yellows then arrested them all? 11 folks from what I can understand Suthep & Jutaporn included HURRAH!!

djjamie
One can be assured that the weapons that the UDD denied owning will be needed by the UDD now as they did promise they would send an armed militia into Bangkok in the event a coup took place. The deny narrative does not hold now as events have changed so rhetoric has changed. I hope there is no bloodshed and I hope peace prevails and there is a quick solution through reform to this situation. Good Luck Thailand.
Popular Post Fat Haggis
and the mud slinging between TVF members continues.. there's no winners here, the farmers who are still waiting to be paid must be thinking "<deleted>!! am I ever going to get paid or what???" it's a bit rich as well calling the Thais children, when there's just as much bickering here, it's quite comical when both sides are trying to vie for the moral high ground, the fact is that neither side could agree on the colour of <deleted>, so the General has just frogmarched them right through it so they can what colour it is!!
