Jai Dee
Past governments fail in education development: Privy Councillor Pichit Kullavanija (พิจิตร กุลละวณิชย์) has criticized past governments as being insincere in developing Thailand’s education. Gen. Pichit said Thailand is lagging behind countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan because every previous government did not pay attention in improving the knowledge and quality of Thai people. The Privy Councillor said the government should follow into the footsteps of His Majesty the King who has initiated numerous projects to improve the quality of life of Thai people, particularly those in the agricultural sector. Gen. Pichit presided over a ceremony to award scholarships to 136 students at primary, secondary and university levels yesterday (Jun 16).
