Narathiwat is helping longkong farmers selling their crops

Narathiwat Governor Pracha Taerat has laid out the marketing measures for the local fruit products in the province. The measures will be tighter, after certain officials were found to perform their financial transactions erroneously over the past year.

Mr. Pracha said during the previous longkong harvesting season, problems on sales were apparent as traders were concerned about the southern unrest. However this year, the province of Narathiwat has set up in local fruit center in each of its district, so farmers can sale their longkongs there.

In addition, officials will be closely supervised, to prevent them from doing their transaction jobs erroneously. This year, two more local fruit centers have been constructed, each with a budget of one million baht in rotation. Longkong farmers will also become the board members of the center instead of traders.
