^^This is good stuff. Would definitely create more interest from Americans for the game.

And they call this game "Football".....so boring.

Bring on the Real Football the NFL.

Why dont you create your own Carryball/throwball Forum and discuss NFL there.

bye bye

In American Football how many of the multitude of players actually touch the ball during the stop start fiasco played by pansies in padding. Check out Rugby Union or League

You mean that strange game played in part of North America with a 'ball' that looks like a leather mango by 250lb guys in crash helmets and tights?

300-350lb guys these days. I was raised on the NFL in the states but it ain't the game I once knew. Ain't no Billy Kilmer or Joe Kapp around anymore.

Guys, as much as I can't get my head around a 'World Series' that is made up of teams from only one country and a game of 'football' where players can use their hands and wear crash helmets, shoulder pads and lycra stockings, this thread isn't for that discussion.

Feel free to go and create your own American Sports are Stupid thread in the Farang Pub section. Who know's, I might even contribute.

Now, if you don't mind I've got a game in the Soccerball World Series to watch.

p.s - anymore posts about the American Series or handball will be removed.

Your co-operation is much appreciated.

Court Ruling from the UK

A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.

The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the England Football team, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Some good stuff going on in the UK again about TV and radio commentators. Most TV channels use ex pro footballers as co-commentators, Phil Neville who the BBC threw in at the deep end, England v Italy came in for a bit of abuse. Low tone mono voice and informing the nation that Manchester is in fact pronounced Man ----Chester.. He took it well and has replied on twitter.

Other gems, Alan Shearer - "Messi is special because he can go both ways"

"on the back foot" & "on the front foot" getting a frequent airing, and " _______ has always got something in his locker"

Perhaps if England were not carrying those lockers about we would have beaten Italy.

The great Lord Colmansballs will be looking down in admiration.
