NamKangMan
Some more good news, but unless they address the pricing structure set by the monopoly, the dismantling of taxi salas will have little positive effect for tourists, and the tourism industry.

I don't think that one was dismantled, since it is meant for people waiting for the bus. I do see the taxi drivers sitting in plastic chairs outside the sala there now. Right, it is a public waiting shelter, but before the clear out there was a tour desk and home away from home for the drivers. It was all cleared out, but this moring I see it sliding back to the way it was before. 10 - 15 drivers hanging out. You think any tourist waiting for a bus would dare sit there - I think not.

You can still contact the POlice/Army for tip-offs, as per the site that must not be mentioned. This would be a loss of face, THAT will get some action!

Phuketboy
Cleaning up of illegal activity on Phuket........ mmmmm. Ok start with Tuk Tuks, then landlords and key money on premises then take your pick at the rest.
