PHUKET: Police are still looking for an alleged drug dealer after he fled from the authorities on Thursday

An informant told Phuket Provinvial Police that Mr Tirawut Sengpa, and his 53-year-old girlfriend Ms Warathip Thongwijit, sell large amounts of drugs – mostly chrystal methamphetamine – out of a house at Wan Place Village. Through an investigation, police learned that Mr Tirawut has several houses and cars all throughout the island but no formal job.

The infornmant also told police that Mr Tirawut allegedly gets his drugs from Bangkok and allegedly uses a Toyota Camry, with fake license plates, to make local transfers.

When police arrived at the house to question Mr Tirawut on July 31, he fled the scene. Police then entered the house and found Ms Warathip in the bedroom with four guns, holsters, and ammunition.

Ms Warathip was taken to the Phuket Provincial Police Station for questioning and was accused (not charged) of possessing a gun without a license. It is unclear if she is still being held by police.

How about a new anti drug law making it cumpulsory for dealers to digest the full amount of drugs found on them immediately after they are caught? Nice handgun collection and great finger pointing job clap2.gif

Does seem odd that he escaped when they have been working on the case for some time.

Can only think the guy had a ready made escape plan should anyone come knocking.

But calling them keystone cops when there's no real information on what went down is typical of Thaivisa trolls.

The wording could be confusing when they said he fled the scene maybe he had left long before they came. Maybe they see him go in and went for a brake then he left without them knowing hence they might have thought he was still in

Who knows if he is such a hi profile dealer I would have thought that the DEA would have gone in fully strapped

He might also have spotters on his road which he might employ. When there is allot of police activity word spreads fast

Then it's a question of resources. If the police had enough man power and overtime to pay all there staff when they are all out doing all these crack downs

Or he might also have informas on the inside also

The word was out he knew the heat was on.

That would not surprise me. Criminals have their moles also specially ones with money as money and power go hand in hand

Police would be stupid to under estimate criminals and criminals would be stupid to under estimate the police or government extra

Making sure the suspect is on the premises would also be a good one to start with.....................wink.png

If he was on the premises and managed to evade, then someone needs their legs slapped.
