cathyy
My new microwave/convection oven came with a recipe book of delicious-sounding recipes, but many use terms unfamiliar to me. Googling has found out what chicken marylands are (leg quarters) and Parisienne essence (water with caramel coloring) but I have found nothing on what a #15 chicken is. It's obviously a whole chicken of a certain weight...but what might that weight be? Kilograms work for me as well as pounds.
BambinA
from google Chickens in Australia are sold by number sizes. A size 15 chicken weighs 1.5 kg (3 lb) a size 20 chicken weigh 2.0 kg, and so it goes.
cathyy
Bambina, you are indispensable! I don't know what TV would be like without you. Thanks for the info.
