Rimmer
Naklua canal dredging set for completion Oct. 26 PATTAYA:--Rainy season will be nearly over, but water should flow much more freely in a key Naklua drainage canal once workers finish dredging it Oct. 26. Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay and city engineers went to the canal near the Jake Houy football stadium Aug. 21 to check progress on the 2 million baht restoration work. Intana Construction Co. is scooping out bricks, rocks, dirt and garbage from the 4-kilomter canal to better handle storm runoff. Contractors also are creating cache basins to hold some of the water to decrease flooding from the canal overflowing, as well as clear footpaths along the canal that have been blocked by the canal’s borders. - See more at: http://www.pattayamail.com/localnews/naklua-canal-dredging-set-for-completion-oct-26-40701#sthash.YytreLDF.dpuf -- Pattaya Mail 2014-08-
