TOEIC in Thailand

You could theoretically apply for a Non-B visa in Loas, once you've found employment. But you'll have to have a BA in any field. If your degree is not in English, it has to be translated into Thai and verified.

The Non-B visa will give you 90 days to sort everything out with Khurusapha ( Teachers' Council of Thailand). http://site.ksp.or.th/home.php?site=englishsite

Here's a link to the TOEIC test centers:http://cpathailand.co.th/?article=8

Best of luck and welcome to the jungle.-facepalm.gif

Our school, and numerous other ones, will not process the papers for your non-immigrant B visa without the TOEIC. I believe the area education office wants the TOEIC before sending the letter requesting the non-immigrant B visa.

Well, I needed my TOEIC score for the Labour Dept. and the WP. Not for the B-Visa. Just saying. YMMV and it might be cheaper to do it in Bangkok.

OTOH, one of the things I do not understand is how schools can employ people who won't even take the very low hurdle of a TOEIC score of 600. What's up with that?!? It's crazy! Someone benefits from corruption... And I pity the students who will be taught by a guy who cannot even handle basic English.
