themechanic
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but re: the 30 day extension stamp for a tourist visa, is it 30 days from the time of stamping, or 30 days after the end of the existing stamp? My current stamp says "Admitted until October 22" And the visa itself is valid till November 17. So if I go tomorrow to the immigration office, what date will the 30 day extension stamp that they give me say?
paz
As you can imagine, this asked every other day or so. All extensions are granted starting the current stay permit expiration.
wayned
Extensions of stay are added on to the current permission to stay so you will get 30 more days from 22 October. Since you are already in Thailand, if you have a single entry visa the 17 November expiration date is meaningless. If you have a double or triple entry visa and have not used all of you entries you must make the last entry on or before the expiration date of 17 November. From your question I assume that you have a single entry visa.
