This is due to the arrival of a monsoon trough that is going through the Central Plain and is expected to travel down south.According to the forecast, people living in the central, eastern and southern parts of the country are warned of heavy rains. The southwestern monsoon is also extending across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. The sea conditions will not be ideal at this time.The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation is prepared to respond to any emergency events. The idea behind a fee would be to use the funds collected to boost security on the island. It was decided at the meeting that the Koh Tao Municipality that a public hearing would be held to decide the cost of the fee.
