Not to do so would be a crime against humanity. Think of all the appreciation that would be heaped upon the Junta for such a humanitarian gesture. Of course if the medicine proves a failure .... Whats it got to do with the army ? Just in for a bash again I see. I suspect the scientists who have developed whatever it is have already been in touch with the correct people as they will want it used as soon as possible. So let's say that 'every few weeks' is 3 weeks. That means if left at the same rate of infection.we can expect the following cases by the following dates. Oct 23..... 14,356 Nov 13.... 28,712 Dec 4...... 57,424 Dec 25.... 114,848 Jan 15..... 229,595 Feb 5....... 459,352 Feb 26..... 918,784 Mar 19..... 1,837,568 Apr 9........ 3,675,136 That is just the next 6 months and has not taken into account that the bigger the numbers grow, then the faster it spreads because once it gets into the hundreds of thousands, all containment has gone and it will be all over Africa including much more densely populated areas. Many of whom would be expected not only to come in and out of Africa, but also spread it to people who are non-Afican and there on a visit who then carry it back to their own host country. Once this has happened, then the only way to keep it out of the US would be to stop ALL Americans from travelling outside the USA and ALL entry... Basically shutting down the US with ZERO in or out policy. We all know that won't happen. This epidemic has the potential wipe out a lot of humanity if they don't act very fast. Because based on those above figures and rate of spread, an addition 6 months at that rate comes to about 1.8 Billion infected, and that is 6 weeks away from wiping out all of humanity. It is also possible that in 2 months from now, the number of cases could be doubling every week instead of every few weeks. A 'compounding trend'.
