webfact Posted October 15, 2014 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Police arrest two men part of a drug network Selling Crystal Meth in Koh SamuiKOH SAMUI: -- On October 13th Surat Thani police seized over 1 kg of crystal meth from a suspect trying to bury the drugs in his backyard. Two suspects looking out were arrested, but the owner managed to escape. The police are preparing for arrest warrant.This morning Pol.Col. Pornsak Nuannoo, Deputy Commander of Surat Thani Police, acting Superintendent of Koh Samui Poilce, made a statement about the arrest of 25 year-old Siwapong Somwong (Sun) and a minor of age 15 along with a 1 kg of crystal meth worth over 3 million baht.The two suspects were sitting in front a house without address number in Kao Phu Kum, Village No. 3, Angthong sub-district, Koh Samui district.When he saw the police arriving, Sun shouted to his boss, 48 years-old Chaowarit Thongraung, who was trying to bury the crystal meth his in backyard near a cliff, when he became aware of the arrival of the police, he left the meth and his pickup truck Bronze Toyota Vigo behind and escaped running to the mountain.The 2 suspects whom were arrested on scene confessed they were looking out for Chaowarit while he was burying the drugs.However, the police asked the court for an arrest warrant approval for Chaowarit Thongraung and used drug acts of legislation to examine and seize all of his the assets including house, cars and land. The police also charged Sun and the minor with felony drug possession.Pol.Col. In the old days you could buy speed over the counter in many pharmacies. When it was banned at the behest of the Americans along with Thai sticks the crystal meth/ya ice menace was created. The police probably put that batch in circulation and will do again. And two poor young kids with dark skin will be sent to a prison that is a disgrace to humanity. The war on drugs is a war on the people, their freedom and their privacy. Thailand should stop this barbarism and hypocritical charade. It's just a money maker for the hi so fronted police and mafia. If the arrested men are citizens of the country they are arrested in then disclosing their nationality is not done. All these news releases of RTP catching bad guys and many of them Thai bad guys. Does this mean TVF posters will one day have to learn a new tune?
