Lite Beer
DNA results from Ko Tao village head’s son don't match traces on slain British touristsBy Digital Content BANGKOK, Nov 1 -- The Royal Thai Police on Saturday said the DNA test results from the son of a Ko Tao village head released by four Bangkok hospitals did not match DNA traces on evidence obtained at the scene of the September murders of two British tourists, according to a police spokesman.Spokesman Pol Lt Gen. Prawut Thavornsiri said DNA results taken from blood tests and mouth swabs of Warot Tuwichian, son of Woraphan, a Ko Tao village headman on the Gulf of Thailand resort island, did not match evidence and DNA of a cigarette stub collected from the island's beach and from Hannah Victoria Witheridge, one of the two British victims. The bodies of Miss Witheridge, 23, and David William Miller, 24, were found on a Ko Tao beach on September 15. Both were murdered, and Miss Witheridge was also raped.Pol Lt Gen Prawut said DNA tests was also conducted on Mr Woraphan, to make sure that he and Mr Warot are father and son and the results showed that they are.DNA results from the four state hospitals in Bangkok -- Police General Hospital, Ramathibodi Hospital, Siriraj Hospital and Chulalongkorn Hospital -- now show that the two men are not involved with the murders and so it is unnecessary to forward the DNA results to the British government because it had no doubt about the investigation being conducted by the Thai police, said Pol Lt Gen Prawut. Both men opted to take the DNA tests in a bid to dispel persisting rumours in the social media that the younger man was probably involved in the murders. Popular Post changnaam
Interesting that they are so convinced the results are correct that they do not need UK to assist. Wonder what the visiting police think about that?

Popular Post Commerce
This only proves 1 thing. The samples taken do not match with the master sample handed over by the BIB - WHICH nobody knows for sure where AND FROM WHOM it came from. Thus, in effect, it proves NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH, RIEN, NADA!
Popular Post JOC
What about doing some actual police-work?? Since the dear innocent boy here is a gang-leader, what about testing his gang!! Or are they included in the "amnesty" as well??

Anyone still believing in any of this BS?? I'd hazard a guess, seeing as it only took 24 hours, that they were only completing a 'paternal' DNA test, as in-depth multiple screening and matching in a murder case, to get things deeply right, normally takes 3 to 4 days, at best. I also don't believe they have the capacity to complete such a thorough DNA test in Thailand, and thus no need to forward to British Police, because they'd tear the test to pieces. But we all knew this anyway.
Popular Post StealthEnergiser
This is where the problem is and the police making statements like this thinking that they are talking to an uneducated audience. The simple fact is Thailand police have a very bad record for being corrupt. How the hell can the tests be verified without The uk confirming whose DNA is actually on the bodies or how was put on there . and if it is DNA from the 2 burmese is it possible that dna was put on another way or forciblly. What was a person that was accused doing on the crime scene ? What was a general practioner doctor doing on the crime scene with gloves on what did he touch ? To many questions because of one reason only Corruption and most people like my self want to be certain before these young boys are innocent or guilty before being jailed for life. The uk must get involved and fully invesigate the DNA .
Popular Post bruceybonus
This complicity must go right to the top! Outrageous really that a country can stick two fingers up to the international community & get away with it. Only sanctions from the UK, and a tourist blacklist will make these creatures take any notice
Popular Post ChrisY1
There are so many people that believe this whole episode is a complete sham......including me. The RTP appear overly enthusiastic to have these results in the media as soon as possible to "prove" there investigations.........and to have a press meeting, with the father and son at the table, indicates to me that they are desperate to convince all, that they are right.
Popular Post NongKhaiKid
Yet again a claim made on behalf of an another govt ? falangjim
His name is Worat Tuwichien aka Nomsod. That is the name of Ko Tao Headman's (whatever the hell that means) son. Nomsod was the person tested for DNA in the murder of two Britons back in September.

Pure theatre and childish but totally in keeping with the way things are done.

Popular Post bruceybonus
Wouldn't it be amazing if in a few weeks/month the British govt suddenly play a trump card and blow the Thai faces out of the water. Slowly slowly catchee monkey! Is there anyway that anybody can find out if we (UK) have DNA evidence from the victims? Were they embalmed? Surely somebody must know this? If they were not embalmed then the Uk have forensics that can pick out alll sorts of DNA, including touch DNA

Popular Post timewilltell
Sometimes I play a game with my kids - comparing two pictures and circling the differences, sometimes They complete and play a face off and see who finds all the differences first. Dad is the final word on any arguments. The police 'advertisement' with the wonderful family from Koh Tao beside some of Thailand's finest drew a parallel. Where one child comes up with a single picture of all 8 differences and the other child cries foul. The losing child then says but dad he only has the picture with his circles and not the comparison picture. When asked where the comparison picture is he replies 'I don't need it because Dad said I am a good boy.' Of course Dad said nothing of the sort and the losing son is smart enough to know a load of bull when he hears it. Dad suitably castigated the devious child. It is a shame the same morals do not apply to countries.

However no matter what the BIB do, there is always a certain aroma, a bad feeling, attached to it. The only way many people are going to accept DNA results is if they are not involved. That is overseas. Can't see it happening though. The 'other paper' says the DNA didn't match the semen found in Hanna. It seems that is all it was tested for, and not tested against any other DNA from the crime scene. What about the cigarette butt, the blood from the hoe, and the rest of the trampled upon evidence, and the condom? Very carefully selected screening, and placement of samples that would not of course match with a sample that does not even match the victims in the first place. It's not over until the fat lady sings..... mind you, he is.... but he's not singing, he's screaming from the roof tops down - we don't need international help because we know what we are doing.... covering up... and don't you muck up my personal financial gains - you British farang know how good we are, we are telling you you told us so right now!
