Framing Large Burmese Tapestry

There is an excellent framing shop just across from the British Consulate on Bumrungraj Road but be careful to get the correct one. There are 3 in a row between the Belgian chocolate place (diagonally opposite BC) and the nearby 4 way junction and the best one is run by a lad with with a pony tail named Nui. His pick up is usually out the front (two tone maybe a Mitsubishi) and I have had something like 15 paintings framed in wood and alluminium and all have been excellent and if what you have can be framed I'd be very suprised if he couldn't do it but you'll have to wait maybe 5-7 days as he always appears to be busy.

Directions: Go across Nakornping bridge heading out of town and I believe its the third light turn right (there is an ice cream place on the corner) and he is there on the right maybe 30mts in. If you get as far as Macormick hospital and the ever poular food places on the right you've gone one light too far.

Good luck

Can anyone recommend a decent framing shop that can stretch & frame a 180 x 130cm burmese sequin tapestry (kalaga). Best to use someone who's experienced at this or it will probably end up sagging.

Ta in advance.

Is your 'Burmese' sequin tapestry from Myanmar or a Chiengmai knock off.

The original (50 yrs.) Burmese pieces used small broken pieces of round broken mirror (hand sanded) as the 'sparkle'. If you don't have that.......probably not worth hanging....for another 50 years.

Hey Kenny boy, does it really matter? M69 has something they want framed and is merely asking for recommendations for a good framer. No need to start sprouting off with your "expertise"?? in these products.
