Body Found Off Koh Tao 'Not Missing Swissman'

"Pol.Col. Sonthichai insisted that the dead body found off the coast of Koh Tao shows no marks of murder."

The body is decomposed and half eaten and they can't identify any marks of murder.

Ain't they clever these Thai Police?

RIP whoever you are.

And this is why people worry about the ability of the Koh Tao police. How can Pol Col Sonthichai say they do not

think it's murder.

Surely anyone in their right mind would wait for the FULL PM report

Lazy journalism.

This guy was found on Khanom Beach which is in Nakhon Si Thammarat, nowhere near Koh Tao. In fact more than 100km away.

R.I.P to the victim.

Yeah well, anyways....several bodies washed ashore all up and down that coast this year. Who knows where they all originated from.

Maybe the witnessess of the real murder of the brithish couple who got murdered 2 months ago.

Another rape attent case...

I waited 2 days expecting that something will be posted here....but....looks like TV and its Thailand critics miss that one.

This was posted in a North Thailand City Times local newspaper....3 days ago.

A young married woman was asaulted by a Samui resortl employee when she was trying to go back to her room alone and drunk at 2 AM after a beach party. Her husband left the party earlier leaving her alone.

She resisted to the assault and called the Australian Embassy and the police, that arrested the man.

I am posting this to make a point....

It is not just in Thailand. In EVERY beach tourist spot in the world, not "smart" people can be a victim of this kind of behavior from the locals, and its is happening a lot more often that you can imagine. Most of the times, victims do not report the crime.

I do not blame the victim. I do not justify the crime, but...if you look for trouble... probably you will find it

To go diving or swimming alone in the ocean.....it is also to be looking for trouble..

Some people ..like myself..only learn with the experience. But, I still alive to tell about.

Another murder, another cover up, or do they have more Burmese workers on the island to blame?

Thailand is advertised as a safe tourist destination ( land of smiles ) obviously they are unwilling to tell the truth about the dangers to tourists here, the dangers come from all levels of thai society including the RTP.

Yes, who would have ever thought snorkeling alone could be dangerous?

That would be completely safe in Florida or Cancun or the Red Sea.

The body had no distinct marks to suggest foul play was involved , could it be suicide that may have contributed to the cause of death.

However, will the police be looking for two migrant workers possibly from Myanmar in case they were in the vicinity at the time.

Is the body on its way to the police's Institute of Forensic Medicine for another world class 5 minute autopsy by the A team?

He might have been lightly battered about the head and then dumped in the sea to drown according to local custom.

No doubt headed by the world renowned forensic scientist Dr.Pornthip of the bomb scanner fame.

"What is a typical European Tatoo?"

Something written in Chinese that someone told them means "Harmony", but really means

"Swift-dumb"?

Just what I was thinking.

Here is the tattoo in question

No Chinese writing, I guess this is what a Euro tattoo looks like.

Amazing place this Koh Tao - to say the least!

Some Swiss body missing, another body found without ID while another miracle case of two dead youngsters is being pushed around on the desks of Bangkok and London.

One of the unhealthiest/most dangerous places on earth? Possibly not but Koh Tao will make it into the statistics of islands ;-)

I'm certainly not in any hurry to visit the place. Sounds very dangerous. I believe, I know danger, having lived in Africa, where life is cheap, for many years.

What is the rumour on this one then?

Suicide by shark. Mental disturbance as knew too much about `something` I hear.

More seriously, does seem to be a few more drownings than usual?

Poor guy RIP, oh and where is the Swiss one now?
