AAInsuranceBrokers
Accident cover (P.A.) : have to say 19k for just 500k of cover is rather expensive but then that is typical of banks. For 15k Baht we can offer 625k Baht of medical expenses arising from any accident but stress this is for accidents only and cannot be compared to medical insurance which also covers you for anything 'nasty' from appendix to a heart attack (heaven forbid !). Please feel free to PM me should you want more information, Peter.

PacificCrossInsurance
I would not recommend a stand alone Personal Accident Insurance policy because of the restricted cover as well as limitations relating to motorcycle riding. However Pacific Cross Health Insurance have a health insurance product range that consists of nine basic plans with many variables that can be added or subtracted. The most basic of these 9 provides a maximum of 300,000 baht per disability (which can be hospitalisation as a result of accident or illness); 500,000 baht in worldwide emergency assistance and 650,000 baht in emergency medical evacuation. The annual premium for age 56-60 is 18,337 baht and this can be reduced by 20% if you elect to opt out of Outpatient cover; and there is also a no-claim bonus that rises to a further 20% after 3 claim free years. To keep the premiums as low as possible on this policy you can't choose to be treated at BNH Hospital, Bumrungrad, Bangkok General, or Sumitivej Hospitals. The next level has a maximum cover per disability of 500,000 baht and annual premium at your age is 25,273 Baht and going further to the third tier cover is 1 million baht per disability, the hospital restrictions are lifted and the annual premium before any discounts is 31,601 baht. You can read more at the following link - Pacific Cross Health Insurance Lifestyle Health Cover - or for further information or advice speak to your Thai registered insurance broker, or obtain a quote from Pacific Cross at the following link - Pacific Cross Health Insurance Health Insurance Quote. I hope this helps.
jpinx
Whilst it is interesting to read your comments, you fail to grasp the essential point here. The requirement is for a policy to cover HOSPITAL BILLS in the event of an accident. Life cover is not needed, Compensation for loss of limbs, eyes, etc, is not needed. Loss of income is not needed. Health cover is not needed. I really must get off my ass one day and wander into the local private hospital and see if they have a plan of their own, because insurance companies and brokers seem to have a blind spot here..... Everyone must work out their own solution, perhaps with the assistance of an insurance broker. I said 930,000 total benefits, but someone else said 60,000 -- so it depends on your interpretation.. My glass is half-full Unfortunately this thread is talking about m/c cover (as specified by OP). Motorcycle accidents are explicitly excluded from the Senior card cover, but you are right, senior pays double for other accidents. PA1st SMART covers m/c accidents as well as all other accidents up to 30k. I guess as you have the Senior card, we must allow you your senior moments.
