webfact
D-Day set for Phuket beach restaurant demolitionsSaran MitraratLeading the battling restaurant owners is the owner of the Beach Club.PHUKET: -- December 8 has been set as D-Day for the last Nai Yang Beach businesses on public land to be demolished. At 10 am today (November 27) Vice Governor Somkiet Songkhawsuttirak held a meeting in Provincial Hall about the demolition.Sakoo OrBorTor has already ordered 15 business owners in the area to tear down any illegal structure built on public land but five owners, led by the owner of the Beach Club, Aroon Paewpanchoo, have been resisting.A petition to the court by the building owners argued that their buildings are not on public land, and they urged the OrBorTor to wait for a court order before demolish the sites. However, Sakoo OrBorTor strongly believe the opposite – that the buoildings do encroach on public land – and the Juridicial Council has confirmed that even if the pros and cons are still being disputed in court, the OrBorTor has the right to demolish. In a recent hearing, the Juridicial Council dismissed the five owners’ petition and advised them that officials have to demolish the buildings within seven days of December 8.V/Gov Somkiet said Governor Nisit Jansomwong had called for the meeting because of the multiple problems and complaints about the beach clean-up in Nai Yang. The governor requested that Sakoo OrBorTor brief the provincial government, the press and residents on the basis for the allegations of encroachment and find a solution that will lessen or avoid conflict now or in the future.“ The demolition process will be carry out by Sakoo OrBorTor and other relevant departments,” V/Gov Somkiet said.“You can use volunteers and police to help with the demolition but avoid involving the armed forces if possible.“Take pre-demolition photos of the site, record all assets and proceed with care, especially around electrical equipment.“We will have another meeting before the D-Day so that Sakoo OrBorTor will not be alone [at the time of the demolition],” he said.Source: http://www.thephuketnews.com/d-day-set-for-phuket-beach-restaurant-demolitions-49851.php-- Phuket News 2014-11-
Popular Post Gunna
And find out who these restaurant owners got false/forged papers and building permits from. Get the ID of the person that approved them at the land office and local council office and check their assets. Then lock them all up and confiscate their ill gotten gains.

No - just lateral humour
lvr181
“You can use volunteers and police to help with the demolition but avoid involving the armed forces if possible." I would like to think that they could enjoy the protection of the armed forces while carrying out this task - plenty of mad "mafia" could make their presence known at the event!
