Jai Dee Posted August 7, 2006 Share Posted August 7, 2006 Lanna OTOP products to be sold in the South Five provinces in the Lanna region will bring in over 40 high-quality OTOP products to Surat Thani Province and other regions of Thailand between August 21st and 25th. The Deputy Governor of Phayao Province, Ms. Ruangwan Buanuch, said the province has set up a project to increase the market capability. The marketing strategy will be more proactive, and manufacturers can launch their products to Lanna and other regions of Thailand. This would increase the locals’ earnings while strengthening their communities. Furthermore, the distribution channel will be expanded, and various products from different regions will also be exchanged according to the consumers’ demands. The Commerce Office in Phayao Province and other relevant agencies have been assigned to work on the “Lanna OTOP Products to the South” project. The Lanna provinces of Chiang Mai, Lampang, Lampoon, and Phrae will initially introduce their OTOP goods to the local residents in Surat Thani Province. Some of the highlighted items include jewelries, furniture, silverwares, silk, jasmine rice, wine, processed foods, and wood and ceramic products. The products will be sold at Wang Tai Hotel in Muang District of Surat Thani Province from August 21st to 25th, and they will also be sold in other regions in the near future.
