The Prosecutor to Prosecute 6 Charges Against Koh Tao Murder Suspects

KOH TAO: -- Mr. Thawatchai Seangjeaw, the Deputy Director-General of Office of the Regional Public Prosecution, Region 8, joined in a meeting with prosecutors to go over the evidences of Koh Tao murders which took over 4 hours to verify 900 pages of the case’s file.

At 13:50 o’clock on the same day, Mr. Thawatchai said the prosecutors will prosecute Lin (21 years old) and Zaw (21 years old) with 6 charges: 1) illegal immigration 2) staying in the Kingdom of Thailand without authorization 3) intentionally murdering Mr. David 4) raping Ms. Hanna 5) murdering Ms. Hanna intending to cover their crime, and the last charge, which will be prosecuted only against Win, 6) stealing a mobile phone and a sunglasses that belonged to Mr. David.

Moreover, Mr. Thawatchai, the Deputy Director-General of Office of the Regional Public Prosecution, Region 8, assigned Mr. Paiboon Archavanankhul, Samui prosecutor, to file the case’s file to court tomorrow (December, 4) in the afternoon. Mr. Thawatchai also added that the case’s file is 100% completed, and that it contains physical evidence, environmental witnesses, connecting CCTV footages, and forensic evidences; therefore, he is certain that the suspects will be prosecuted and proven guilty.
