But the emphasis in the last months on reporting about 'foreign criminals' is clearly an act of vilifying outsiders by a xenophobic new leadership. Took me a while to work that one out too, and I have to give the officer's their due here, a witness said they "thought" the plate was 169, the police were looking for a "Nuvo" with a plate ending with 69. If they wish to make it more difficult with procedures for non-Thais to visit this country, I would welcome it. Anything to keep scum of the like out, should be implemented. Even in Bumrungrad hospital they're camped out offering drugs to people in the waiting area. It is normal in the UK, when someone quotes a vehicle number, for the police to look at the common mistakes that are made if the number quoted does not prove correct. That was exactly same.
