AyG
Wine Connection has Drappier Brut NV for 2,999 Baht. If you want a recognised name, Tesco Lotus has Moet & Chandon Brut NV for 3,899 Baht. But does it really have to be champagne? American & Australian sparkling wines made by Champagne houses are much better value for money. And if it just needs to be sparkling wine, Prosecco here is around 550 Baht.
xylophone
Very good sparkling wines available from Oz and NZ made by the "Methode Champenoise", which may suit, and have also seen some French Champagne in Big C for about the price posted earlier. jakethesnake
I'm pretty fussy about my wines and had maybe 1000 bottles back in Farangland. At my B'day party I bought a bunch of Lindeman's Brut & I found it to be about 100% better than expected. Small bead & good Pinot flavors. Cheap as chips here in Cambo -$8. It can't be >1000 in Thailand.
xylophone
Looked today in Big C (Patong) and they have a French Champagne at 1890 baht a botlle........cheapest I've ever seen here. Do you remember the brand by any chance? Thanks! ___________________________________________ Marius Champagne Canard Duchene Sorry I don't remember it but I will look it out today and get back.............almost certainly a co-operative on the fringes of the Champagne appellation I would think as the touted extension to the area designated "Champagne" has not yet taken effect (to my knowledge).
