In fact this lens is the best ultra wide angle lens that has ever been made by anybody, anywhere, anytime. Nikon only made 350 of these between 1976 and 1998 when Nikon stopped making them. Each was blessed by a Shino priest or so it has been stated. 22 years & 350 lenses...you do the math as to how many per year were made.
