Local units in Chiang Rai are working to prevent flood disaster in the long term

The Governor of Chiang Rai Province, Mr. Udom Puasakul (อุดม พัวสกุล), has emphasized the local organization administrations to speedily renovate the waterways, canals, and forest areas nearby water sources, as this could help prevent flood disaster and forest flood in the long run.

Mr. Udom visited the flood-affected areas in different districts of Chiang Rai and found out that Phan (พาน) District, one of the major agricultural districts, has been severely inundated from frequent forest floods. Consequently, many crops have been damaged.

Thus, the governor has reinstructed the local agencies of the province to adjust and improve the water ways, the drainage system as well as the water storages. He said forests are being restored and communities have been encouraged to protect the forest areas.

Don't they mean lack of forest flood?

Where has it all gone. I hear the Orange groves are doing well in Fang district. Four years ago shrouded by forest cover. Last June, stripped.
