NamKangMan
So the mother "sells" away justice for her son's death, for 1.2 million baht. I understand it's the way it is here, but what a disgrace.

CiaranO
There is apparently new footage thats not in the public domain. I suspect it was a real beat down by the usual 7 or 8 brave Thai's against one man.

NamKangMan
According to Phuket Gazette the case has been dropped. Yes, but Thai 'justice' is expensive. Mark's choice. At 59 years of age, I doubt he could have done the time, if found guilty, which he probably would have been. So, I guess this limited his "choice." He had to pay up - or die in gaol. Happy Grumpy
1.3m? Dual pricing. The Porsche driving Thai kid who cut the Lao girl in half, then drove on 10 km with the top half of her body in the passenger seat only had to pay 400k.
