3 suspects accused being involved in the contract murder of Samui business man arrested

KOH SAMUI: -- According to a Thairath news report at 6.30 o’clock this morning, Wednesday March 18, around 200 police officers, led by the commander of Surat Thani Provincial Police, Pol.Maj.Gen. Apichart Boonsriroat, searched the homes of suspects accused of hiring someone to kill 49-year-old Mr. Panas Kaoauthai also known as “Tak Bophut” a local businessman who was shot in a restaurant in Bophut Walking Street area on Friday March 6th, 2015.

The officers searched the 5 houses of the target suspects in Koh Samui area. The main target was a house at Ban Rak Tawan, 120/4, Moo 1, Bophut sub-district, Koh Samui district which belongs to Mr. Samart Boonsin also known by the name Dang Chor for whom the police had already issued an arrest warrant for being one of the team connected to the contract murder of Mr. Panas.

Police officers have also reportedly also arrested Mr. Chanai Soksom, 50, a former Samui City Council candidate after being accused of hiring someone to murder Mr. Panas. Police officers also revealed that they were able to capture Mr. Chayut Kaewaram, 35 who stands accused of shooting Mr. Panas. Police suspected that the reason behind the murder was conflict of interests. However, the police investigation continues as they search for a second gunman who is now thought to be in hiding.

This shows again that the police know quite well what's going on 'out there in the jungle'.

Best outcome is the killers will be identified and maybe even go to jail (if the police are not directly involved).

Just a shame that even if they know who is the 'mastermind' he/she wont be prosecuted because of all the known reasons.
