Why on earth Koh Lanta needs the biggest marina in Asia is beyond discussion. The infrastructure will take years to develop on this island. Of course, there is no timeframe involved - so perhaps, in 20 yrs, the vision may be entertained. In the meantime, Phuket will be the centre of marina growth.

Koh Lanta is a charming island and according to the UNDP will be developed to promote culturally and ecologically sustainable models that will hopefully showcase the uniqueness of the local human & natural habitats - beyond ringroads, resorts and scenic look-outs left to decay with no follow-up maintenance.

No signs of visionary action to date........ :o

The proposed marina is not for Lanta island, but rather for Muang district on the coast of the mainland.
