Papa_Lazarou
Q: How many croc hunters does it take to capture a sting-ray? A: Apparently more than one. Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo is now serving Sting Ray... In many ways not the world's wittiest joke, nor the cleverest-constructed punch-line, but it was on an Eastern Europe website so, bless, they're trying their best. johnh101
For god sake calm down, obviously one man's humour is an others insult, but it does not mean that one is wrong and the other is right. But it does remind me of an old story my Grandfather told me ......... The only reason that the human race has outsurvived almost every other species on earth is our ability to laugh at our own misfortune, we are the only animal that can do that. In the Rai!
For god sake calm down, obviously one man's humour is an others insult, but it does not mean that one is wrong and the other is right. Its not about who is right or wrong. This is the Internet, not your circle of friends at a table having a few beers who you know well. You don't know us from a bar of soap so when it comes to subjects of this matter it is better for all that we keep them to yourself or your own circle of friends. If you want to tell jokes about someones misfortune not even 1 week after it has happened than go ahead and do so in your own circles, not on an international website where anyone can read postings. Go and tell your friends and laugh but I would imagine most people dont find this funny. In The Rai!

Nongwahyay
ITR,I never posted the 'joke'. But I do believe in Freedom of Speech. I don't like lots of things I hear or read everyday but I do not try to force my opinions on others, especially on an open web forum ! Freedom of speech is a fine thing - but in the right place and at the right time!!!!!! It never ceases to amaze - and disgust - me, that no matter what tragic event may have occurred, there are always clever dicks, who can´t wait to be the first one in to show how witty and sharp-witted they are with a sick comment. Showing a bit or respect (by, for example, keeping the proverbial gob shut...) is also as important as the often over-used claim for freedom of speech.................. Plus
People make jokes about dead they don't know, like those Darwin awards that show absolutely no respect to the victims of their own stupidity. As wedon't know them, we don't feel offended. Steve was a public figure admired by many, so jokes about him are unacceptable to them. On the other hand there are billions of people in this world who never heard about him or never regarded him very high, like some animal rights activists. They don't feel offended in the slightest by Crocodile Hunter jokes and some even think he got what he deserved. Five year ago, could we make jokes about Lady Diana? Brits worshipped her, the rest of the world didn't give a ######. There was an episode about Steve in South Park once, it was half funny then, mostly harmless now. The worst crime, though, is that the OP joke is absolutely stupid. Steve might have enjoyed a really good one himself.
roderick17
Samui Coconut I am confused !!! suegha
This thread has taken on an interesting leaning. The idea that if a joke is in any way offensive is an 'eternal' discussion, and one that is seldon fruitful. Shortly after the release of 'viagra', a joke was told in Liverpool which was funny and topical, the joke went: In Liverpool you can buy viagra eydrops... ...so you can look dead hard! Funny joke??? Perhaps, but what about the offence caused to men with erectile disfuntion? I hope this illustrates the point I'm trying to make. If you don't like the joke you've just heard, move on, and don't tel the joke to anyone else! If you are on the web you will come across many things you don't like - that's life! But what about all those threads about Men dying by falling down man holes, or elctrocuting themselves, or a myriad other deaths? They`ve all gotten 50 replies or more with witty or less witty one liners. within less time of the death, and far more thai related. It`s a joke posted in the jokes forum.
