webfact Posted May 12, 2015 Share Posted May 12, 2015 Ten people arrested following raid on brothel in Hua HinPhoto credit: Talay Hua HinHUA HIN: -- Eight women have been arrested for prostitution following a raid at a brothel in Hua Hin.The raid, which took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning at a property located close to Hua Hin train station, resulted in the arrest of eight alleged sex workers, as well as a female clerk and a security guard.The women arrested are all aged between 20-30 years old and come from Khon Kaen, Mae Hong Son, Ratchaburi, Surin and Ubon Ratchathani.The Bangkok Post reports that the women told police they became prostitutes voluntarily because it was lucrative, earning more than 30,000 Baht each per month.Customers were said to be charged 650 baht each, with each of the workers keeping 300 baht, with 350 baht going to the head of the operation.Customers who stayed in the premises overnight were charged 3,500 baht.Police also seized evidence detailing the payment of sexual services and founds used condoms at the premises.The Bangkok Post also reports that the premises had been raided by the authorities on a previous occasion but no evidence was found to suggest that any illegal activities had taken place. -- 2015-05-12 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Curious what the government is up to. 90% of the sex trade in Thailand is for the benefit of Thai men, wonder if the government is trying to sort of tamp it back to a dull roar. Will have to see if they start raiding bars in Pattaya......... Always What day per week who is there does everyone charge the same price etc etc That is a difficult undercover operation which needs many officer many time to work hard under the cover. Don't forget the vast majority of commercial sex transactions take place between Thais, plus women from some countries in the neighborhood.
