Samui bombing suspects claim innocence
The Nation

SURAT THANI: -- Two men accused of being involved in the April 10 bombing of a shopping mall on Koh Samui in Surat Thani province yesterday denied all the charges and said they would fight to clear their names in court.

Abdulroning Dueramae, 49, and Abdulloh Samae, 25, were brought to the Surat Thani Court, where the police applied for their first 12-day detention period. The police also objected to them being released on bail.

They are facing charges of attempted murder, having explosives in their possession and conspiring to cause an explosion to harm other persons and properties.

Earlier yesterday, police transported both suspects by helicopter from the Ingkhayuth Boriham Army Camp in Pattani's Nong Chik district. They were then brought to the Bo Phud police station, on Koh Samui, for questioning.
