Transport Minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisal has instructed agencies to display permanent or temporary signs offering information on how to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The signs will be posted around Bangkok. In charge of the signs are all transport-related agencies, including the Highway Department, the Department of Rural Roads, and the Expressway Authority of Thailand. Similar signs on possible routes to travel from Suvarnabhumi to Bangkok will be posted inside the passenger terminal. Pongsak acknowledged that the initial testing period was beset by a number of hurdles as airport personnel adjusted to the new equipment. However, things should go smoothly over the next couple of weeks, as testing continues on major operating systems, according to the minister. --TNA 2006-09-
