Jai Dee Posted September 14, 2006 Author Share Posted September 14, 2006 The Defence Ministry dismisses rumours about a military coup Defence Ministry spokesman Jakkrit Intharathat (จักรกฤษณ์ อินทรทัต) assures the military will not stage a coup. Lt. Gen. Jakkrit said talks about a coup were just rumours spread by ill-intentioned people who wanted to ruin public faith in the military institution. Lt. Gen. Jakkrit said he could confirm that the Defence Ministry and the armed forces are impartial. He asked the public to have confidence in the military and not to be alarmed by those coup rumours.
