george Posted September 12, 2006 Share Posted September 12, 2006 Flash flood inundates 240 houses in Chiang Mai CHIANG MAI: -- A flash flood hit Chiang Mai's Mae Chaem district inundating 240 houses of Monday night, whilst local authority prepared for another round of runoff water from a forest expected to hit the area again. District deputy chief Boonkeua Kunatharakul said that the heavy downpours from Monday evening until Tuesday morning caused a runoff water to flow down Mae Chaem River submerging 240 houses under 60-centimetre-deep water and damaging three stretches of Ban Mae Sa Ban Huay Pha road in Tanbon Mae Najon. --The Nation 2006-09-12 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
