Real Long Stay Visas

Recommended Posts

It seems it is time for people to lobby their foreign affairs branch of their own government to lobby for some sort of real business or self employment visa to be made available.

In China you can get a 1 year busienss visa now without too much trouble.

Is there really nothing like that for Thailand?

I got this from the forum sponsor.

(by the way 1,000,000.00 THB = 26,763.63 USD - and is this legal?)

There are many options for long stay visas in Thailand. Which ones might

suit you?

Marriage Visa: Are you married to a Thai? If so you could show 400,000 THB

in a bank account or a monthly salary of 40,000 Baht per month and apply for

a one year extension.

Retirement visa: Are you over 50 years of age? If so you could deposit

800,000 THB in a Thai bank account (wired in from outside the country) or a

certified pension of 65,000 per month. This will get you a one year

extension.

Thailand Elite Card: This is basically a lifetime visa which covers you AND

your entire family. This solves all your visa problems, eliminates your visa

runs and also entitles you to many special benefits such as Unlimited free

golf at over 40 golf courses in Thailand and Unlimited spa treatments plus

many more. The purchase price is 1,000,000 baht, but it IS transferable. We

are the authorized agents for this card, but here is the official website:

http://www.thailandelites.com

And finally the multiple entry B visa:

Sunbelt can help you acquire a Multiple Entry One Year Non Immigrant

Business Visa for Thailand. Our professional fee for the sponsorship

documents is 7704.00 Baht.

You will be required to apply for this visa outside SE. Asia. New Delhi

India or Perth Australia would be suggested.

The benefits of this visa type are:

- Unlimited entries to Thailand

- A full 90 days on each entry

- May apply for a Thailand Work Permit

- Ability to explore business opportunities and/or investments

- Can open a Thai Bank account

Please be aware that a One Year Thai Visa is valid for a period of 12

months. Each entry is valid for 90 days. After each 90 entry you are

required to leave the country via any border checkpoint to secure another 90

day entry stamp. This is simply a stamp, no visits to a Thai consulate and

no fees are required. A short bus trip to Cambodia is the easiest route, BUT

any border checkpoint will be fine.

Note: our fee if for the sponsor documents only. You are responsible fees at

the Thai consulate ($125.00usd) per visa.

Acquire the Non - B sponsorship documents by visiting the Sunbelt Asia

office. This is a very simple process which takes about 15 mins. A few

photocopies of your passport, a few signatures and your on your way. Sunbelt

can also process your Visa Sponsorship conveniently via courier although the

extra fees will ,of course, be your responsibility.

We look forward to working with you.

Notice on the Elite website the following..... "Special Offer Until 30 Sep,2006"

Thats it, its a scam, conspiracy !!!! These rules are not really going to come into effect on the 1st October, its so we will all rush to buy Elite cards, what a great move by the Thai authorities ! :D

If its not a Thai Elite card conspiracy, I wonder how much the card will be after 30th Sept ? :o

Genius - no one was buying the elite cards and now look people are considering this option now. :D

1 million for life..... not so expensive now is it ??

I can see it now around the Bangkok & Pattaya bars, with signs outside "Seeking partner, investment required 1,000,000 baht !"

The part about being a lifetime visa and ELIMINATING visa runs is not true. It says right on the site that what you get is "Renewable 5 year multiple entry visa with extendable 90 day length of stay." What I have read and understand to be the meaning of this is basically what you get is a Non-Imm "E" (for elite) visa that is valid for 5 years and is apparently renewable. Like all catagories of non-imm visas, it is good for 2 or 3 months "length of stay" and then you must still do a VISA RUN. I have also never read or heard that this visa is extendable for 1-year like a non-imm O visa that is extended for retirement purposes (therefore eliminating visa runs altogether).

Also, the Thai Privliledge Card Company I guess has obtained this visa "perk" from the relevant governmnet authorities. However, I am sure that at any time, the government, if it so wished could revoke this priviledge and basically wind-up this visa priviledge/catagory. No one could know now if those who already had the card/priviledge could renew it at the end of its current 5-year validity.

Seems a little pricey for such revocable benefits (plus still doing visa runs).
