spike
These guys must be living with their heads in the clouds if they think this kind of thing is not a common occurrence in Pattaya. The place is known for what it is "Sin city" and they will never completely stop it as they know that it is one of the biggest earners of foreigners money that comes to Thailand for just what Pattaya offers. No prostitution in Thailand is what they say - yeah my backside, it's everywhere, even in small towns all over the LOS. It's not a common occurrence in Pattaya discos. Have you ever been in one? I've never seen this happen in any Pattaya disco...not in Tony's, Lucifer, Marine, Insomnia, Candy Shop, etc...not one. The staff did the correct thing by throwing out the culprits. It's tough stopping rogue weirdos from doing strange stuff.
kiddeemak
They only closed 1 oral sex club in Pattaya!!!! I can think of about 10 and in these places you wont get kicked out if anyone sees as the service has been paid for. Then there are all the ones I don't know about. The bars with swimming pools where you can get an underwater BJ though not to completion only because the girls can't hold their breath long enough. This is obscenely indecent. Have they not heard of snorkel gear?

cookee68
Lucky it was not a Farang women, could you imagine the shit she would get if she done an act like that in Thailand from the Thai community. And I would say that Thailand is the sex capital of the world, when the government go through Pattaya and Bangkok, are they on their mobile all the time, or do they never go out at night, why bother looking for the 2 people who did this cos nobody gives a shit, it was in a night club full of hookers who cares, as long as he never called her names whilst she was sucking his manhood, nobody is going to give a shit. It might not be in the disco's, but I have seen it many times in gogo bars and normal bars, even had a hands free bar years ago, where they were under the table sucking your old boy, And the staff say they threw them out, yeah ok, just an excuse to save their <deleted>

charmonman
A couple of points I feel compelled to make after reading a number of the other comments. 1) The reason for the outrage over this incident is not that it occurred in a known "oral sex" bar of which there are many in Pattaya (and no one would deny this) but that it occurred in a regular disco. There is no hypocrisy in this and anyone who thinks there is has not really adapted to Thailand, probably hasn't been here very long, and should quit whining about it. 2) I'm sorry I have to make this point as I know it has been done before in other discussions, but it really irritates me, so here goes. The man in the incident is not a "Farang", he is a Korean. A Farang is a foreigner of white/European origin, not just any "foreigner". Unless the usage of the word has radically changed in recent years, I doubt there are any Thais who would refer to a Korean or a Japanese or any other East Asian as a "farang". mutha289
Reminds me of the scene from the movie Casablanca when Rick asks the police inspector why he is shutting the club down and the police answers "I'm shocked, shocked to find there's gambling going on in here" then the cop is handed a stack of bills with the comment "your winnings sir"! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjbPi00k_ME

kerrysum
Hilarious! lol I'd have a lot more respect for "Thailand" if it just cut the bullshit about the sex trade here ... pretending it doesn't exist or isn't happening is not a solution to anything ... it's kind of like all these "inactive posts" that people get moved to ... "we know it's wrong, you did something bad, but we're not going to really punish you for it cos we're all just as bad as you are and making a shitload of money at it too whilst pretending to everyone we're purer than the driven snow" ... This sums it up: "Pattaya, which is one of the world's top destinations for sex tourism" Guess it is all about saving face in the world of Thainess. Uh people need to get a clue, it has been going on for decades....

webfact
Pattaya Discotheque involved in “Oral Sex” scandal raided by Police and ArmyPATTAYA: -- On Monday Night, and in response to pictures posted on Facebook, which appeared to show a woman providing Oral Sex to an Asian man, a raid took place of the 808 Discotheque on Walking Street. The raid was led by Khun Chakorn, the Banglamung District Chief, who is responsible for issuing entertainment licenses to venues in the area. Joining him were District licensing officers, Army personnel, Pattaya Police and Tourist Police Officers. It was confirmed that the picture was taken inside the Club and the exact location was found and documented by investigators. License checks were made of the venue and everything appeared in order. A problem with staff registration forms was identified and the CCTV system appeared not to have been working on the night of the 28th June, when the pictures are thought to have been taken.Khun Natawoot aged 26, a Security Guard at the Club was questioned and confirmed he was aware of the incident but made it clear that as soon as the couple were seen they were immediately ejected from the venue. He revealed the woman was a Thai National aged in her twenties and had gone to the club with a female friend. He thinks she did not know the recipient of the oral sex prior to them meeting inside the club.Full story: http://pattayaone.net/pattaya-news/201897/pattaya-discotheque-involved-in-oral-sex-scandal-raided-by-police-and-army/-- Pattaya One 2015-07-
Bernard Flint
To be honest, there will be many couples, who dont rely on sex with hookers in the place, just having a good time, and some stupid thai prostitute decides to go public on what she does for a living in the disco. This is a disco/ nite club not a bj bar
me313
Great, whether or not people say this is hypocrisy in it's purest form, the unraveling of the outright open-ended sex industry is a beginning of changing the tapestry. The name of the club "808" also is similar to the multiple "88" establishments that have sprung up in Phuket that I see around town and on the internet--the "0" in the middle is similar to an open mouth--- I hope people continue to stop these clubs and establishments from catering to the "88" crowd and their need to defile and degrade women and whomever else is being paid to perform these acts, I doubt they receive very much money for doing this, and it's at least a beginning I hope the police continue arresting and closing down these clubs so in the future people won't comment that it's as common as rain during rainy season that places like this are a part of the Thai landscape. To make such statements implies that people wish it to remain in this state of open pornographic exploitation and that this is "natural" somehow to the Thai culture. It's "natural" to a culture of exploitation, and "88" implies a kind of foreign influence catering to a certain type of crowd here that is not indigenous to Thailand.
