Jonathan Fairfield Posted July 4, 2015 Share Posted July 4, 2015 Myanmar's president seeks Japanese investment Myanmar's President Thein Sein says he hopes to attract more investment from Japan to promote economic development. Thein Sein is in Tokyo to attend the Mekong-Japan Summit that begins on Saturday. He told NHK on Thursday that he has been steadily guiding Myanmar toward democracy since the transfer of power from a military government to a civilian administration four years ago. He said the ruling and opposition parties are holding discussions about the country's future in parliament.
