For those of you who are saying that this breed of dog are killers know nothing about pitbulls. Firstly if you want to locate the killer you need to be looking at the other end of the lead. The truth is these dogs are super social animals and need to be brought up mixing with people from the beginning. Now if this dog is a full American pitbull ''which i doubt'' looking at the pic and it was 7 months old and has been raised freely mixing with patrons it would be 90% safe to assume he has been socialized and none aggressive with humans. Also a 7 month American pitbull would be smaller than the dog in the picture. It looks like he has a taller breed mixed in.

A pitbull becomes aggressive when it is locked away and has little or no human contact. When a pitbull is fully grown it can not be allowed to roam freely because of the dangers associated with other soi dogs. ''Not people''. this goes for socialized pitbulls as well. My pitbull is now 14 months old and soi dogs approach him when i walk him on his lead. They want to kill him, he wants to lick them to death. He is young and naive and i have already had vet bills from sio dog bites on his back side whilst on the lead. I know one day he would return the favour.

True, just like locating the killer at the other side of a barrel.

Owning a pit bull is the same as owning a gun. Once loaded both can kill.

Like guns pit bulls should only be owned under special licence and again like guns, pit bull owners should have to justify their reasons for owning one.

Anyone who wants a dog as a family pet have no reasons for such powerful dogs as pit bulls. As I said; this breed is mostly a status symbol for the lower classes, because pit bulls install fear into the majority of people and that`s the main reasons certain people like to own them, it give them a warped sense of power. It`s that simple.

P.S you brought back a memory of my wife sleeping with our 3 month old daughter in one of the bedrooms when an arm suddenly came through the barred window trying to grab her bag on the sideboard. The kind of situation that could have indefinite possible scenarios. Any desperate thief on your property can potentially have irreversible consequences for your family. I think anyone walking past my house now would look in and decide against it. The soi dogs are the problem here mate not well trained, well looked after pittbulls protecting you, your family and your property.

I carry a knife with me everywhere. How do they know he was drunk?

Okay, I'll be the one to ask... why do you carry a knife with you everywhere..?

I have a swiss army knife. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand why I carry one, but progressive liberals from nanny states, for whatever reason, can't seem to grasp the understanding. Let's see: it has a screw-driver, it has a can opener, it has a bottle opener, it has a phillips-head driver, and oh, it has a couple of blades too <Gasp!!!> , among other things. <head shake>

"You could put your eye out with that!"

Yeah, and if push came to shove, I could probably end a Pitt-bull attack too.

"But, if he was attacked, he should have called the tourist police and waited from them to arrive to handle the situation, and really, he should have just played dead and the puppy would have left him alone." <head shake again>

That Pitt Bull is as much of a 'puppy' as Micheal Brown was a 'child'. Unlike what they tell you in your nanny-state schools, unlike sex, when it comes to dogs - size does matter when it comes to breeds like Pitt Bulls.

I would give the Russian a community service award.

Pit bulls are mongreled out slugs that are unpredictable around kids.

Take a look at the average pitbull owner. Half the time they look like their dog.

Most Australians who own pitbulls are covered in tatoos. Says it all.

You are so spot on.... I also noticed the owners of these dogs and they do look like their dogs.... Fresh from gangsters paradise...

Definitely more to this story... Perhaps pittbull running loose and first attacking the drunk Russian making a noise.. This type of dog should be kept behind closed gate or border !!

Weak arguments based on assumptions with little fact. Pitbulls are bred to fight and are naturally aggressive and can be unpredictable if prodded into instinctive behavior. It's a fact Jack wake up.

Although dogs, for whatever reason(!), can be dangerous and often are, try cycling anywhere in Thailand to test my point. People lose perspective and defend the indefensible. QED above.

The benefit of the doubt, if that turns out to be the last resort in this mans case, surely belongs to the human. It is not murder to kill a dog and a bit odd(sic) to try to say bad things about the chap even if he did kill it. Most of you eat animals, what's the difference?

I have no idea why people love these beasts the way they do. I respect their view, in as much as I try to avoid them and their pe(s)ts, but it makes no sense. They are man made animals for prehistoric reasons. They are not justified in modern, densely populated towns and cities, except for specialist reasons.

I know, sigh, all the dog loonies will now be baying for my blood(intended). Reason will not prevail. But it has to be said.

I find it difficult to weigh a dog lovers emotions against my physical safety from these vermin, which is a real danger when walking, cycling or biking. Add the environmental costs and disease risks and they are worse than rats.

To those who will argue that it's about responsibility of the owner, that seems fair. But in the real world, dogs(man made remember) are attacking each other and us, continuously, regardless of the 'should' so often speciously used as a trump card.

Given the track record of the Pattaya BIB it wouldn't surprise me if they decide it was a case of dog suicide or that the dog accidentally fell on a knifeblink.png .

PAC is involved and PAC works very closely with City Hall.

Russia will be locked up serving at least 3 years

Is this for real, or your wishful thinking?

I ask in all seriousness, as I have been contemplating my options of defence when attacked by feral, and not quite feral, pests.

OH yes nice sweet pit bull ya right. I carry a stick when I walk and had to fend off a few dogs . i went back to the USA recently and was walking at the park must have been ten dogs running around unleashed . never been so nervous and no reason to be just my wonderful experience in Thailand with dogs.

Yes...isn't it amazing how there are no vicious dog attacks in the USA. Only in Thailand do they attack and them only farangs.

Are those extra details in English about the Russian invading the house and killing the dog inside the property of the old lady ? If so hope he does a lot of time because its breaking and entering... who knows what he would have done if not for the dog.

When I read that the pitbull was in the soi running around and barking at the guy earlier I think enough said... It's the ladies own fault for letting it run wild. Keep that type of dog on a chain or fenced yard and away from the public or lose it !

His encounter with the dog ended up with him kicking and then stabbing the dog.

It was not made clear if the dog was attacking the Russian at the time or not.

Not made clear cheesy.gifcheesy.gif

My view:

A pitbull rerrier. what a "nice little puppie"!

This bad Russian man killed the nice little puppie rolleyes.gif

Encounter with the dog:

It just wanted to lick his foot wink.png

One of these lying Thai crooks wanting to pressure some money from the farang for oneselfs reckless behavior (walking a fighting dog without a rope and a muzzle).

Two of these monsters almost killed one my peaceful dogs while walking past a house.

I hit them with a thick bamboo stick as hard as I could. It broke,

You can't stop these killers, except with a bullet or a knife.

every dog has the ability to kill like humans...people keep forgetting about the sh-ite owners who neither give love or train these beautiful creatures ...lets not keep blaming the dogs my pitbull winstonc..is almost (duke of kent) hes a baby at 3 n half years old...

Mate i have lived here for 10 years and i have never once seen a genuine American Pittbull roaming around as a soi dog. This story is complete hogwash. A lot of people commenting on here know nothing about American pitbulls. True fighting pitbulls weigh only 20 to 25 kg they are small and slender. If you look on youtube and put in American pitbull and browse through all the footage of these dogs being aggressive the chances are the dogs you will see are a small compact strain of the breed. Big Blues and large pitbulls are not aggressive in nature to people. They are one of most hard working loyal dogs alive. Always striving to please and this is why they can easily become aggressive in idiotic hands. They are super intelligent dogs that are focused on pleasing the alpha male. This is why they are one of the easiest breeds to train. Below reads SHOCKING VIDEO so watch and tell me what is shocking about it. the media has damaged this breed. Fatalities of humans through dog attacks are dominated by small breeds, ''the so called cuddly breeds'' than pitbulls and this is a statistical FACT.

DOGS! All dogs.

and also, quote:

They are super intelligent dogs that are focused on pleasing the alpha male.

You'll have to define intelligence. They don't sound intelligent to me, more like sycophants found in any office.

Dose this guy leave a bunch of dead dogs in his wake. If not a habitual stabber of dogs, why this

one. Did the dog attack him? Was it self defence? Lots more to the story than the article

reports. Bad owner, bad dog, difficult breed, owner wants a payoff. I look forward to a more

flushed out thorough article. coffee1.gif

I had me English Bull Terrier killed a few years ago, he was only a couple of years old and still a puppy really. He was never left to run the streets - we had a nice yard and garden all around the house, which was secure. He was never walked off the lead in the streets, totally, totally harmless. Some twunt poisoned him, the only thing we could think of was that burglars or house invaders were put off by him in the yard, so they poisoned him. That, or local Muslims. How interested were the police? You know the answer..

The story is not complete.

Russian did not kill the dog on the street but in old ladies house.

Old lady was being helped by PAC.

She called PAC to ask for help as she was scared Russian was going to kill her.

Instead he went into her house and killed the dog.

PAC called police and insisted on Russian being arrested for break and enter and murder of a dog.

Police did arrest him, but while getting all the facts , officer escorted him to hotel to get his passport .

While in the room , he escaped through the back window .

Police has his passport copy and all the info.

Once arrested he is looking at 7 years jail for both offences if convicted.

Can read proper story on PAC site

Good! Too many Russians and too much crime from them. 14 years in prison sounds good to me Konying! He is going to be a very different person when they catch him!

"Stabbed in the chest?" The dog likely was attacking him an leapt up chest facing is the only way logically that a man would stab a pit bull in the chest. Unless the og attacked and he was able to flip it over an then stab it. Either way, it sounds like the guy was defending himself.

I don't know..there is a hotel close by....they took a dog (one of those bull types)....dog bite many people...many...they did not care...brushed it off..and it was other peoples fault...totally did not care...just paid themselves out of it, all the time...then it bite a thai...then the dog had to leave. I have seen the scars of people it bite. Not okay!

Dog represents the owners...good owners will have a good dog...any dog! You can teach a dog ballet, if you have those skills. If you don' have any skills...and let your dog attack people...it will! Fault of owner dog. You should not take one. Take a parrot.

And then yes, when you have a hotel/bar...do not take a dog, some people don't like..simple as that.

And yes, why this man was carrying a knive?

I think that bad guy and that bad dog fell in love...and couldn't have eachother...so a fight went on..or something.

If you own a bar/hotel..do not take a dog...but if you really want to...take a poodle...knives are for cutting apples, they should be at home.

If the man was bad..or the dog did bad..no idea..dogs can not bit people....and people killing dogs I wish a slow and painfull death...my dogs agree!

Ah...somebody break in...Good Dog

Tried my house too..my dogs hurt the burglar very bad...he ran awayclap2.gif
