adjan jb
Hi, I'm planning to leave Chiang-Mai between 11th and 15th of April but don't know exactly where to go. I'm looking for a remote/quiet area where not too much people play with water and where it's a little cooler than CM. The resorts I've heard of in Mae Salong, Mae Fah Luang and Doi Ang Khang are a little bit too expensive (over 2000 bahts). Does anybody know a "quiet" area with a nice resort/hotel (between 500 and 1000 bahts) ? Any idea/address is welcome as long as it is in the North. Thanks JB
chanchao
Everywhere in the North is very hot and very dry this season. I don;t think it will be much cooler than Chiang Mai, and you won't avoid the water throwing in these places. If anything they seem to start earlier and finish later in Chiang Rai! I would consider going (far) South. Or China. CHeers, Chanchao
francois
hi' 2 years ago, I went to Omkoy to spend a "quiet" Songklan ... it was nice, cool, friendly people and QUIET! a nice procession some water but reasonnable enough not to be bothered by anytime you have to go out to buy some more drinks or food a real nice place , and not far from Chiang Mai, bus start at Chiang Mai gate, nearby the market (before it). not much to do overthere ... take it easy can go fishing though francois
Georgie-Porgie
Try Doi Mae Salong. Chinese, not Thai. Very high up. Should be cool. Should be cheap and good Chinese food at the resort and elsewhere.
Lambastard
Stay home! Or ... Hey were you on a motor-bike with a white t-shirt with a red logo in the center driving up the tree-road the other day? Head to Suan Dua? It's just past Samoeng... There are other placesin Doi Inthanon that you can get away to...
