This has stirred up much Bickering between BMs and few Promotions on Sale during Low season....I hoped to get more useful information and less Bickering and argueing.. 3 Dentist in Jomtien have quoted 45,000 per Tooth so I guess there in the Ball park of all the other Dentist.....

Friend just got a tooth replaced at Smile near Dolphin Roundabout and he paid 55,000 THB but this was a Standard price for this Dentist

I don't think that you are going to get more useful information than you've already been given. I've already been through this process, so I know of what I'm writing. Researched facilities from Bangkok to Pattaya. A lot of the smaller practices would use the same roving Implantologists who travelled between Bangkok and Pattaya. Some would send you to a hospital to get the X-Rays done because they didn't have the prequisite(expensive) equipment in-house.

Anyway, you have all of the information that you need to make an informed decision.

Though I agree that responding to a clown does nothing for my credibility.

I've had 3 implants done here over the last couple of years. They were all done at Phyathai in Si Racha and, as long as the same dentist is doing them there, I would not hesitate to go there again if I needed more. As far as I know Phyathai is part of the same group that owns BPH.

I paid 40,000B per implant which included the crown and the implant and panoramic X-Rays as required. It did not include a bone graft that was needed for one implant, nor did it include an extraction or some extra fees for pain-killers and antibiotics related to the extraction. Nor did it include a "nursing fee" of about 300 Baht that was charged on a couple of occasions for no obvious reason (I never did find out why).

I did some quite careful checking around Pattaya before getting my first implant done. I found that most places that advertised implants for less than 40,000B did not include everything, with many wanting extra for the crown and this is often mentioned in ads and on signs. And 17,000B for the crown alone was certainly within the range of prices I was quoted.

Also none of the cheaper places included X-rays etc. None of the very cheap places in town inspired me with confidence, and the prices quoted seemed to be largely erroneous or incomplete.

Looking at the bottom line, most places in Pattaya seem to charge well over 40,000B total for an implant plus crown plus X-rays, with the 45,000-60,000B range being fairly common. Some places go well over this price range. So that ad for "Implants 29900 Baht (crown excluded 18000)" certainly could really mean a total of 58,000B for an implant and crown. Only 29,900B total for an implant and crown seems to be much cheaper than anything else I have ever seen here unless you go back 10 years or so, so I think that is unlikely.

One other thing that my checking revealed is that not all dentists were up to the job of doing my implants, and some said that one of them could not be done at all. I suspect that this was due to them not being competent as Phyathai had no trouble doing the same implant. In retrospect I would only have my implants done by a dentist that specialises in doing implant procedures and who has much experience of doing them. I would not have an implant done by a general dentist who also does implants. Many clinics in Pattaya seem to fall into this second category and as such I would avoid them for implant work.

If I ever need an implant I would be checking where they come from and if the quality is up to the best standard . Some are produced in Asia , but the most expensive ones are from Sweden and Israel. Dr. Nan who used to live in Sweden during his dental practice choose to offer a wide price range of implants , the question remains why the Swedish ones are so much more expensive than the others.
