SURAT THANI:-- Police have arrested two women who are allegedly involved in selling large quantities of crystal methamphetamine on Koh Samui.

Acting on a tip off and from information gathered as part an undercover operation, police officers and locals officials raided a house in Lamai on Thursday (Oct 1st), where they found 120 grams of crystal methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of 360,000 Baht.

According to Daily News, officers arrested Miss Sasitor Yimlamal, 35, and Miss Kanokon Sonnuan, 32, who allegedly confessed to selling crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ‘ice’, to foreign tourists and Thai female bar staff working in the Lamai area of the island.

The suspected female drug dealers had been under surveillance from law enforcement officials for some time and are believed to be part of a much larger drug dealing network operating in southern Thailand.

Police charged the pair with possession with intent to sell class 1 drugs and both women are currently behind bars awaiting a court appearance.

"under surveillance from law enforcement officials for some time and are believed to be part of a much larger drug dealing network"

And instead of sweeping up the entire network, the police publicly arrest a couple minor dealers. Thus, the police have forewarned the rest of the network of its surveillance.

Patience my dear sir, patience. I am convinced they are starting to crack down on mafia enterprises on those islands over there, step by step, slowly but consistently.

Just watch the news the coming months...!

And I notice recently, all the finger pointing seems to have stopped.

At 3000 THB / gram, I can understand why they are selling to tourists. Out of the price range of most Thai other than the totally addicted kind.

Glad it's off the street. Now try drying up the freaking distribution network.

And who are the idiot foreigners buying the drugs?

Ahhhh, people who like snorting crystal meth? It part of the farang crowd who don't necessarily care about premature aging and dying in mid-life.

Ha! Heisenberg groupies.

Are you talking about the 'Heisenberg Principles of Quantum Theory', or the 'Heisenberg Sandwich...with lettuce and extra mayo'...?

If snorting meth, the former.

If smoking ganja, the latter.
