Martouf
I am currently teaching 3 days per week in a high school. I have a work permit and I am 1 year into my first teachers license waiver. A friend has asked to teach at her school on the two days that I am free My question is if I accept the job do I need another teachers license waiver and if so is it classed as the second 2 year waiver ? If it is then it is not worthwhile accepting the job as it would limit the number of years I can teach before having to do all of the Thai courses etc.... My main school will agree and the two schools are in the same province Many thanks
lostinisaan
If you go by the laws, you'd need another waiver letter, but if I were you, I would try something else. If the "new school" belongs to the same educational area office xxx, it will be an easy task. Of course only if your current school and the educational office are okay with it. Once the educational area office is informed, you won't have any problems. All educational area xx offices have one employee who works for the TCT, easy to find a suitable way for you. Please take somebody from the new school ( head teacher, director, assistant, etc..) to the DoL and you'll find an easy solution to your question. Best of luck. LazySlipper
You will also need to add another place of work on your work permit and I believe that this costs 5000 bht--if you want to be on the safe side.
